Superb tour Nicola. I resonated with the chap's efforts to save the Cathedral. Imagine if he wasn't around. Maybe we wouldn't have it to admire today. The town itself is a wonder for the old. Another really good video Nicola. Love the "reveal" & "lifting" shots. Very cinematic. Weve never been to Winchester but it does look amazing. Definitely will have to visit this lovely place. Loved the "That's the best scotch egg I've ever tasted " bit. 😊😊

@NicolaExplores I just looked on Google Maps to see where it is & i found out that's its just 30 minutes away from lMedstead which we will be going to in May for a family wedding. I'm looking at booking a hotel so we can stay the night & visit Winchester before going back home the next day. 👍👍

Wow, Another great video Nicola x I have no been to winchester for many years, I only remember the old mill and the cathedral. I must visit this wonderful place again. The market looks a great place to browse through, I notice some interesting vintage stalls their. Its a freezing cold day here, I be wrapped up warm today.

Fancy seeing you here on a Saturday night! This place has been on our "Go to destinations" for a while, but we have not been, yet. It is a classy place like Well's, and has a market, Cathedral, and decent eateries like Rick Stein's! I now have to wait for your places to eat, to see if we match!? You recommended a sandwich & coffee place in Bristol, next to docks, several weeks back, but I checked it out on TripAdvisor! People were saying that it's standard's had dropped in quality, and portions were not great! Keep up the great places to visit, although it is getting very hard in the UK! Most places are all like "Clones", and have nothing new to see, or do. I used to have "The Crap Towns Books!"

@@pantani9886 hello again 👋 I think Winchester will be more up your street. Ah yes, Brunels Buttery: more nostalgic than good on reflection. It’s ok for a bacon buttie but it is a basic greasy spoon. You won’t want to visit. Never heard of the book. I try to find the positives in places before they are all lost. Did you hear that Bristol might be losing some of its museums? 🤦😔

@@NicolaExplores There is no book! I did not know about Bristol losing some museums! Everything getting worse is by "Design" as the "World Elite" want to ruin the UK with immigration, etc! Look at London to see Bristol's future! Sadiq does his job, and get's a knighthood!
