Great video. It takes 3-5 years of steady growth before most should realistically get into the kind of growth for multiple employees and trucks. But many think they can or should do it sooner and they either aren’t financially and/or mentally prepared.

The correct term for oxidation is "chalking". It does not occur with latex or acrylic finishes. It only happens to oil based paints that are breaking down from UV

Only downside of getting licensed is it takes a long time. I filed to get my LLC and all that good stuff. It took like 2 months for all the papers and things to get sorted with the state and what not. I think if you’re starting out you should get your stuff filed but still market a little. Just don’t put yourself in any position to ruin anything and don’t step a foot on a ladder. Just be safe and you can still make a little cash while you wait. Also if you break something, customers will be more understanding if you tell them, don’t let them find out on their own cause their more likely to speculate about things. Don’t let needing insurance and llc be the excuse for you to stop trying. You’ve got this guys!!! Love your videos man, you help me get excited about this business and honestly it makes me feel really great knowing that theirs such a supportive community in pressure washing.

You register your busness as dba and get insurancr in one day. LLc Didnt take me longer than 1 hour in my area. But if it does u need to get insurance right away and just register as dba all can be doen instaly online

Just started with my Simpson 3200psi doing small jobs. Me, my pressure washer and my truck. Gave the middle finger to corporate America and decided to take the risk, won't know if I don't try. Did my due diligence before jumping in and you can start small and grow along the journey. My biggest mistake is giving everyone deals, must get more assertive.

The first mistake, that made me cringe was the beginning of your video with you walking around a second story, wet tile roof, with no harness. Neighbor and good friend is in hospital now with a broken back. 28 years as owner of his own roofing business and gravity finally got him. One slip in 28 years is pretty good, but that's all it takes.

1. Cut people deals. Realtors or other types saying "if the price is right, I'll have plenty more work" is a lie. Just be careful. 2. Check for oxidation on the paint. Chalky white stuff on your finger tips if you rub the painted surface. Too much pressure or a strong mix can cause oxidation, but it's typically caused by sunlight, check before every job.

Isn't the "oxidisation" just the powder coat failing from the cheap factory finish that comes on many styles of lp,hardy board, and other kinds of maintenance free and low maintenance siding? I pressure wash houses to get them ready for paint. I can't imagine washing siding with failed powder coating and it not being painted afterwards. Washing it would cause more of the pc go fail.

What’s your process when you refer to an oxidation check? Don’t you get oxidation from putting too much pressure on like vinyl?

Putting too much pressure on the siding doesn't cause oxidation itself. However applying high pressure to an oxidized house will cause some oxidation to be removed which will cause streaking. I am terrible at explaining things so I hope that helped

I've used this sprayer several times now on brick pavers, a wood deck, patio, and a driveway. kzbin.infoUgkx43QMbQqu67IZadu9ou8Sg1BdrunMRNqX It has performed as expected on all surfaces. For larger areas like the decks and patios, I think I will be looking into a surface cleaner attachment to speed up the job, or at least make it a little easier. Hose and sprayer connections are tool-less, tight, and quick. I used the yellow nozzle on the concrete/brick surfaces, and the pressure was adequate for cleaning those surfaces.I am disappointed that these units are still being shipped with a nozzle storage holder that allows them to vibrate out of the holder way too easily and become lost, but I don't want to knock off a star for that reason. The functional part of the washer works very well, so I would recommend this product.
