Awesome, you'll start seeing them eventually lol. When you get so many shrimp going and take into account that they only live about 18 to 24 months, its just a numbers game when you have more shrimp than a shrimp has days in its life lol. If a shrimp lives 700 days on average and you have more than 7000 shrimp you will probably have 10 dead shrimp everyday by the numbers and not have a problem.

How's your caridina tank doing? I had too reset my Tangerine Tiger tank i started around the same time you did. Came to realize these guys need a setup closer too neo's. Lost half of what i started with so i switched to brightwell. So lets see if results get better. My other tank of Black Crystals that i started around same time has exploded with shrimplets. Started with around 20 shrimp in a 20 gallon extra tall and now have hundreds. Fluval stratum for shrimp and plants is the substrate im using in that one. Here's a future video idea for ya. Best substrates for different shrimps. For some reason i can't keep a blue neo for long! they all die or vanish 😢

Caradina tank is not good actually. Can't get babies to live. I've had dozens and dozens of babies and only 1 reach adulthood so far. Way beyond frustrating, even feeding BacterAE and no luck. The variablility of the whole substrate thing is really turning me off to caradina to be honest. I have kept perfect parameters, have one female that cranks out a new batch of babies every single month, if I even had half the babies live I'd have over 100 shrimp by now. Probably done with caradina, just pisses me off too bad, I've done all I can do I feel. Spent so much money on that damn tank.

Probably try one more idea, and if it aint going by the time my new brighwell is used up that will be that for the time being. My space is so limited, I need every tank being productive until I can get space for way more tanks.

I’m getting ready to setup my first cherry shrimp tank. It’s a 20g long. How many shrimp should I start out with?

@trenamarie9820 I always say 10 minimum, the more you can get the better luck you will have if something goes wrong, and they will get going faster. All my lines were started with 10 to 15 shrimp because thats all I could afford back then lol.
