I enjoyed learning how to make a button pin cushion to fit! I like the turning of the mat to be most efficient in my needlework, too. Just review the glue and refills; now to use them instead of thread basting. I have only used the Hexiform from Ashmead Designs and love it!lighting is still uncertain as I tried several choices for I sit in my recliner with pillows behind me for the best back support, here in the USA. GREAT REVIEW OF NECESSARY TOOLS for EPP.!

Oh, how I wish we could get hexiforms in the US! There are a couple of Etsy sellers who have it but the mark up is unreal! I love your channel, you have opened the whole world of EPP for me! Thank you!

I tie my Invisafil thread to the needle with 3 half knots, and when I'm done I just cut across the knot to release the thread from the needle. Works like a charm and you don't feel the knot as you sew.

Thank you Emma. I just love your videos. I find them very inspiring, yet relaxing/ soothing. I"m new to quilting and am working on my first EPP project. I look forward to sewing some of your patterns in the future. Merry Christmas to you and your family.

I hold my needle by the eye when pulling through - means I'm gripping the thread at the same time. I try to get children to do this too as soon as possible when teaching them to sew, as it saves a lot of frustration😂 But your method works too👍 It's interesting how we've all developed our own mechanisms and habits😍 I love watching you stitch 😍

I always taught children that way too, definitely a good habit to get into. Have a wonderful Christmas 🎄

Hi Emma, i always put a single knot just like when you tie your shoelsse, up at the eye end of my thread and it stops the thread slipping out of the needle and doesn't hinder your stitches. Love the finger needle holder i will be making one of those today, thank you for all your tips you are amazing. Merry Christmas to you and your family. Xxx

Emma the biggest sewing essential I am missing is a sewing ROOM 😂😭😂😭. In the meantime I def need to invest better in my threads. Thanks for the vid!
@emmajonesvintagesewingbox22 сағат бұрын
Aww you don’t need a room though! You can sew anywhere, especially EPP, thanks for watching

I love Sue Daley's products. She is just an hour and half away from me up the north coast of Queensland. I agree with all your favourites. They all make our hobby just that little bit more easier and streamlined.

Hi Emma hope your well, if like you have done you have a darker colour and a lighter colour , which cotton would you go for to put them together , the Sewline glue is brilliant I agree , but if doing. Big projects , it can work out costly , I do use it I must say however. I do love the fabrics you choose . again the Hexiform is better than using paper on bigger projects , but I did it on a very large quilt , which I sent a picture off to you a while back , Hexiform for that was very expensive , so I found a thin fusible fleece , which is great and saves you needing wadding . I am a liberty fan as well. I like your needle holder , great idea . Thanks for today Emma great as always . Happy Christmas to you all .

I would go for a mid tone grey perhaps. But it all depends on the fabric because if the dark fabric is highly patterned and the light solid, I would use light thread. Thanks so much for watching Karen
