I love your videos! It would be great to see a series on what to plant with the spreader yew plants. I have similar yews (they were here when I moved in and I want to freshen things up). I'm trying to figure out good combinations behind that front layer of yews. (I was thinking Mountain Fire Pieris directly under my front windows-- but not sure what to put in between the yew and Pieris!). Cheers!

I only have a very small area to plant shrubs, and it’s shaded most of the time. Would you recommend one of these over another for a small area. The area is only about 2.5 to 3 feet deep (front to back)
@freedomofreligion3248 Жыл бұрын
Need a video on plants suitable for a Living Screen -- HOA won't replace my shade trees they mismanaged-to-ruination. Won't allow any sunscreen nor umbrella. South + West are my most exposed sides of my house; we're suffering :( A living screen by hanging plants, or, trough-container-planted screening plants, having a cooling, shading effect. Fragrance and anti-mosquito action a bonus. Help? Zone 8b. ❤

Uh oh. Did I make a mistake??? Just went to pProven Winner and on their website it listed Elderberry Lemony Lace as part sun to sun AND same thing on the rhythmic blue hydrangea as part sun to sun I am close you you in Zone 7a what could be the difference between their website and you stating shade??
@skgreenhouse Жыл бұрын
In many areas they'll do just fine in full sun. Here in Zone 7B (Shelby, NC) I have found that they do a little better with afternoon shade. I've noticed some sun scorching on them when placed in full sun around the months of July and August.

Loved this. And I needed this info. I have a dwarf lemon tree that I've been growing for about 3-4 years on my deck bringing it inside during the winter. It's had many flowers especially this spring. It has 5 green lemons and one or two baby buds but there are little ants near the buds and on some limbs. What should I do about them? Our winters have become warmer in our 7a-b zone in Knoxville, TN. I really would like to see these lemons grow to maturity and harvest them. Help?
