Links to all my specific gear below 👇 In this video, I run through my top 5 spring walleye presentations. These baits get me through the prespawn and post spawn windows when water temperatures are fairly low and walleyes are typically in shallow water.
You guys are awesome. Thanks for watching!

You are missing a big one, Len Thompson 5 of diamonds in red usually but in black also works with a minnow or a walleye eyeball once you catch one, winter until July it works wonders, jigs are primary but if they fail that spoon a foot of bottom is incredible

Good idea Joseph. I’ve used tuned up custom rods on the ice for a long time and just grabbed a few of their open water sticks to try this season. They are pricy, but seem super nice. For reels, I have a bunch of stuff. Some quantum, some daiwa, some Shimano. I’ve culled out most of my quantums now and have mostly daiwa at this point

Nick do you see a big difference between using live minnows or plastic looking minnows? Just because of getting the fish off the hook and taking the time to go and get another live minnow.
@NickLindner
@NickLindner 4 ай бұрын
It makes a different for sure. Some days the minnows are just the deal for sure. But plastics are sometimes optimal (and can catch bigger fish sometimes)
