I don't think any of them are bad, just most are simply "OK". Peebee, Vetra and Liam are OK. Not the best in the series, but also not the worst (* cough * Jacob * cough *). They're just... not particularly interesting. Jaal seems fine enough, again not great but not bad. He's part of a new race though, so he's got that over the others. He and the whole Angara race got a lot more interesting near the end after _that_ reveal about them. Cora was, surprisingly, not as annoying as I thought she'd be. I thought she'd be a mix of Ashley for ME1 and Miranda from ME2 (as in, she thinks highly of herself and has her head up her ass), but nope she's actually pretty good. Drack is by far the best though. Grumpy old bastard, completely jaded about pretty much everything. Worryingly I see some of myself in him.

Don't know where you did these surveys, but I never saw them... So here's my list for Andromeda: 1) Cora - best human fighter, highly mobile on the battle field, cute, sweet and likable LI, always useful 2) Drack - best overall fighter, very tough to kill, likable 3) PeeBee - most entertaining squad banter dialogue, cute, very likable LI 4) Vetra - Only early in the game, before getting Drack and PeeBee 5) Who ever I had to take for their loyalty missions Most common combinations: 1) Drack and Cora - best, heavy hitting combat team, both basically have biotic charge - the best power in the game 2) Drack and PeeBee - o.k. for lighter combat, funny banter 3) Cora and PeeBee - o.k. for lighter combat, interesting picking at each other banter Wouldn't take unless I had to: 1) Liam - never understood his character at all, what an idiot - I'd have spaced him, not a strong survivor 2) Jaal - dies too easily, too whiny - just as bad as a Quarian with a tummy ache, never took him anywhere unless I had no choice 3) Vetra - o.k. in combat, some fun and interesting banter, but normally no reasons to take her along So sad we'll never get all the loose ends from Andromeda resolved... Very mad at EA/BioWare for abandoning this franchise, even before the game was released, to focus on the "not very interesting" Anthem...

I liked all the squadmates, so no, I liked him too. I also in my first playthrough never took him in a party with anyone other than Cora or Jaal, so I didn't realize he had issues with other squadmates and was really confused when everyone kept saying he was an asshole.

His "loyalty" mission was the only thing that made me like him on my first play through. He comes off (to me anyway) as the emotional teenager who tries too hard in all the wrong ways. Which given his backstory makes no sense. The tail end of his story curve is actually pretty good but the start is very rough for him. In my own opinion, he's okay but there are more enjoyable squadmates

I agree. Drack was actually the most developped character, mostly in the end, we learn so much more of him, and we see he has real depth. Unlike other characters with whom we have so few details about them, it is hard to make links if we don't learn enough of them and can't identify with them.

I agree that it's extremely interesting that Cora trained with Asari Commandos, but that is ALL she talks about. Her entire personality is based off of it. It was great for the first play-through, but got annoying afterwards. She could have had so much more to her! But I don't blame the dev's or writer's for it. I blame the time-crunch. She's just a character that had so much more potential. After a while though, her voice-acting could have been less... monotone. Maybe that's just the actress' voice though.

Peebee was my favorite squadmate & is my Ryder's first & immediate romantic choice. Drack was definitely my bro. Always good for a laugh. Jaal was pretty cool & I enjoyed his company. Vetra was a damn good teammate & I liked her get it done attitude. Liam was okay. It just bothered me how I felt like I had to keep an eye on him or expect a problem. Cora reminded me more of Ashley with duty first but she grew on me. During the course of being her friend, I discovered a complex & deep woman. And I fell in love with her. Peebee is my canon romance but I look forward to romancing Cora on my next playthrough.

I feel like Liam & Cora being the most unpopular might have had more to do with the other Ryder twin not being a squadmate more than anything else, and Liam was the most "bland" of the two humans while Cora was at least more interesting due to her backstory of being trained as an Asari Huntress. I mean, think about it, you have so much freedom to customize not just one, but *TWO* characters at the start of the game, only for one of those two characters to not be a squadmate at all and is instead relegated to the role of more of a background NPC that you generally don't even need to interact with whatsoever, and serving no other purpose than to help influence how Alec Ryder looks (at least until his role in the story ends pretty much right at the end of the "tutorial" section of the game. Liam could probably have just been cut completely and replaced with the other Ryder twin and actually resulted in a *more* popular human squadmate. The biggest problem with Liam, to me, is that he's just plain *BORING* more than anything else and pretty much only serves the purpose of being your first squadmate, and once Vetra joins the squad he almost certainly gets booted back to the Tempest and has to stay there for the rest of the game, since the other five squadmates are at least more interesting than Liam....who is about as "cookie cutter" of a squadmate as he could possibly be. But to me, as awesome as Drack is all-around, what really made me like him is that while he was *MUCH* older, wiser, and far more experienced than Ryder, he wasn't really all that condescending to Ryder. And he was perfectly willing to open up and offer advice to Ryder when asked. To me, in a way, he sort of filled the "gap" left in Ryder's life once Alec died. Drack basically became something of a mentor and quasi-father figure to Ryder who wasn't overbearing and allowed Ryder to make their own choices and live with the consequences while still being there to watch Ryder's back whenever it was needed.

I'd put Drack and Vetra at the top, followed by Liam and Cora. I was really surprised by just how much I've enjoyed interacting with both human squad mates. Jaal was interesting. but I'm not sure how much I actively like him. While Peebee is the only squad mate who actively annoyed me. She could be alot of fun, but she could also make me want to strangle her, so she sits at the bottom. Overall though, this is the first Bioware game I've ever played where I did not flat out dislike any of the main cast of characters. Even Tann I found entertaining, for the most part. Kinda wish the Archon was a little more nuanced, but you can't have everything, I guess.

The reason cora was not likeable was that she blamed all her problems on being a powerful biotic and theirfore was not accepted by most people because they were scared of her or did not want to be near her also she wanted to be a leader but could never make any hard dissions and always looked for a mentor when she should have been the mentor if she wanted to be pathfinder also she also thought that the asari have all the answers to everyting

Best was Drack easily. Yes he's a real krogan, but he has a heart which makes him really interesting. He really came off as a grandpa/father figure in many ways. He also has some of the best scenes and dialogue in the game. Its easy to see why he's there. As for the rest, Jaal is alright, and Cora grew on me. Cora was kind of boring in the beginning but once you complete her loyalty mission, she's pretty cool. Especially when she finally shuts up about the Asari. Plus, she's a decent romance choice. The rest of the squad I didn't care for.

Boy, do I wanna give you the biggest hug for saying you love Cora. Maaaaan, do I love that gal. Romanced her as Scott but I admit I like her ride or die bestie energy with Sara even more. Plus once you start leveling her, she and Drack are easily the tanks of the crew... even if she _can_ get a liiiittle trigger happy with her shield boost. Throughout the game his direction seemed to be steered towards an eventual breaking point which hasn't been reached yet, but is spurred on by his impulsive nature. In a way his character appears more human than Jacob and James (ME2/3), however he is arguably more unlikable than both of those characters.

Peebee (Was my 2nd favorite for a bit, but she's kind of a dick and Cora is just better.) 4. Vetra (I liked her a lot more at the start and I like the relationship she has with Sid, but she started to shine less to me. Would choose her as a romance for a female Ryder.) 5. The problem is every character on the ship was basically discount version of original trilogy character or combination of 2. I haven't found single charater I would actually connect with and want to have a romance and had to make myself dating somebody. Since I want to have blue babies with Liara first one who got my attention was Lexi (and I will never forgive Bioware for creating asari doctor voiced by Natalie Dormer I can't romance), so I decided to commit to Peebee before discovering she's 100 years old asari academic with 15 years old teenager's brain. here's my list the number one spot is a hard one foe me so since I could not make a choice between these two characters so I decided to share the number 1 it is definitely PeeBee she's intelligent, cute and energetic like an whirlwind sometimes and Drack the wise old Krogan with loads of combat experience in a close second Vetra .. true and loyal friend much like Garrus and great to have in your squad 3) Cora the stable force keeping the whole team together 4 Jaal a great sniper with an ok backstory and sort of the morality compass 5 well someone has to be last so it's Liam.. he reminds me just to much of Jacob for some reason , his loyalty mission was fun tho so there you go my top 5
