I've had the Walabot for a few years. It's not real convenient. First take it out of its protective case, remove your phone out of its phone case because it is too thick or has a ring or kickstand that the Walabot will not stick to, open up the Walabot phone app, do the circular calibration on the wall which doesn't always work on the first try, move the Walabot along the wall without accidentally touching the phone screen. Mine also needs a USB cable between Walabot and the phone. Not sure if there's a Bluetooth option. Since my Walabot ring isn't sticky anymore, it's a chore to hold both together as you comb the wall. It's a great concept. Wish they had an all in one unit with a built in screen. Love your test, by the way.

I like the fact you use 2 different product to get a perfect reading. i will be buying both. i was just looking for a way not to get electrocute myself, and not accidentally flood my house. LOL. THANK YOU!

I have a cheaper model of the Franklin and it does a good enough job to keep it around, but it is frustrating sometimes. I LOVE the idea of the Walabot and I’m going to have to pick one up soon. It’s now on my Amazon wish list. Thank you for the entertaining and informative video!

Yeah, I’m of the opinion. I would rather spend less and get some thing super convenient or spend more and hit it out of the park every time.

I've just been using three or four magnets. Leave the magnets stuck to the wall where they cling to the drywall screws and draw a line between them averaging out the center of the stud. There's no accidental finding of a water or sewage pipe, or solid metal pipe because the magnets will stick throughout the pipe and not spaced out like with the screws.

I have the Franklin and it actually senses the gap between the drywall sheets as a stud.

Franklin for 4-5 years now. I can quickly get the center of the stud high and low then use level to draw vert line to multi-tool the sheetrock rock out, so I can do whatever and screw that sheetrock right back in place when done. Offer to patch (with 5 minute mud & wet sponge) to save the customer the need for another contractor.

This kind of "honesty" is exactly the problem we anticipated.

I have the zircon. It’s a bit of a struggle with this one.
