Now this was my kind of Top 5... Less about technical nitty-gritty and more about passion - simple, child-like, impulsive attraction to shapes and designs. I can believe that Mig probably spent hours looking at a Tamiya catalogue and daydreaming as a kid, just as I did. The Whippet, Ha-Go and Crusader are wonderful choices because they represent tank design in an era [Great War and Inter War] when engineers didn't know really what was or wasn't possible / practical and came up with totally unique visions of how to fill a perceived need for armour.

Something I always like about these top and bottom 5s when they happen is how you don't see too many repeats. Even when you do, the reasons are never the same or they might be in different positions (or in a couple cases be in someone's top 5 instead of a bottom 5!). Always love seeing these.

This is my favorite video from you guys. Mig is an absolute legend in scale modeling. For those that don't know, Mig began many years ago just winning competitions, then winning multiple national competitions. Then he started doing seminars, which were always sold out around the world. Then he put out a book, which sold out and now you can only find on eBay. His techniques were new and simple with amazing results. He's very generous with his time and techniques, unlike some old school modelers. Then a few years ago he started his own company, supplying paints and tools... but from an actual modeler's perspective. He did precise color matches on all the popular colors, etc. Then he started finding out of production tools and products that we use, and bought the rights to them, so he re-branded these things so they were all brought back for us. He's been a huge positive influence on the hobby and is a really nice guy. Thank you Tank Museum for the crossover.
