Been trading for three weeks... in my life. Made $274 so far. During a pandemic and a severely volatile market, I’d say that’s not the worst (I mean the worst is losing money and I haven’t done that yet thankfully), but I’m happy with it considering I have only a marginal understanding of how it works. MUST = Squeeze indicator (there are many different types....I like pricepoint or breakout or volume)(NOT to be confused with normal volume indicator) Squeeze does not need to be a total strategy but more of a data point to help make decisions on entries and exits. All indicators are simply to help as a data point. I would also add that when trading futures be very careful before 10:30AM or 11AM because historically the big dips or circuit breaker dips are before 10:30 AM.

Clay I have a question about Webull, and I guess about day trading in general. Is it true that PDT rules only apply if you’re trading on a margin below $25000? In other words, if you’re trading a cash account for less that $25000 the normal PDT rules don’t apply and you can make as many day trades as you want?

You still have to worry about the cash settlement rules though.

@@claytrader Agreed, but I've found that one of the self-imposed rules that I use to keep myself from "going nuts" on this stuff is: Trade with settled cash only!!! I suck as a "trader." I read Welles Wilder (probably before you were born! lol). I am amazed at how the entire TA subculture uses his stuff over and over and over again. So much of being successful is just figuring out what your emotional predisposition is re: how you move money in and out of a position. I have only "really" made money by getting well positioned and then sitting on my hands. I trade in and out because of the bells and whistles and buzzers. I know this about myself, and yet still find myself "looking" to find applications that will fit me. This was a very good video. I am going back to basics, and your honesty is refreshing.

Hey Clay, when you spoke about simple moving averages I thought it was three, 200 pink, 50 purple, and 8 period yellow which I thought you called the yellow brick road or were you calling the vwap the yellow brick road? Thanks.

What is the question?

Is the yellow brick road the vwap or another simple moving average used as the 8 period?

ClayTrader You’re right. My fault. I caught myself in the past. I got excited after this video and went straight to the comment section instead of the other place. Horse stance for two hours straight for me.

Hey there, i wonder would you change the length of a indicator according to the timeframe of the chart, so in case of the video would you change the 200 or 50 lenght you set there when you switch from a 1 hour time frame to for example a 5 minute timeframe? anyway i think i will stick around here for a while :) , keep up the nice vids!
