As a Insignia (Opel) owner myself, i can just say that i absolutely love this car. Im a sucker for Opel in general but this car is my 2nd favorite Opel after the Calibra. Mine is from 2018 and has an all black interior and the some extras like the keyless unlock and start. I do not have the rear whiper since that's the thing i don't like. I have also thing i don't like, but these are minor things...

@@Beaumont6 I have it for a year now with 150k km. So far so good :) Just the DPF filter is a bit mad at me for not burning it properly. I only do 50km to work and back and now I have to detour a bit to go on highway as my engine light came on, but after highway and a bit of speeding it turned itself off again as I clear the DPF filter. If you buy diesel just know to do a lot of kms... this car is designed for long distances :D But other than that, everything is still perfect. I am really happy with this car. It's comfortable, reliable, if you buy it with 170hp it's fast enough and accelerates nicely it has enough tech for me (bosse speakers 2 digital screens and matric headlights, also line asist).

With the vehicle on, select Settings → Vehicle → Driver assistance → Forward safety → Fwd. cross-traffic safety from the infotainment system screen to turn on Junction Crossing function and deselect to turn off the function. When the vehicle is restarted, Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist will always turn on.

Hi, in many points I agree. Especially the electronics are way behind the competitors. But there is something about it I just love. Of course mine is an "Opel" not a Vauxhall, as of being in Germany. And I have even more gimmicks build into my car as it is the highest selection that was available. Has been a company (leased car) in it's former live. It looks good, it is doing it's job. I love it for all the comfort it gives to me for a reasonnable price.

Bought one new, back in 2020 in Finland. 1.5A Stw, OPC exec with *all* the goodies, 37k€. Great highway commuter. Going to hang on to it at least 4-8 more years. 😊

21:35 I'm pretty sure that key symbol is for when your key battery is dead and your car doesn't recognize that it's in the car, you put the key on that symbol to be able to still start your car

Had the same engine in MK7 Astra the timing chain guides were done at 30K when i bought it so i got rid asap as garage was messing around went for a MK5 Mondeo and sadly its been superior in everyway to the Insignia always been a Vauxhall person until that Astra.

Hi, what mondeo engine? Ecoboost? They have the wetbelt system and that's why I avoid buying Mondeo. I had one for almost 10 years but now need to look at something else because of the ecoboost engines that keep blowing. Hence why I'm thinking about the vauxhall insignia....

You cant replace bulbs on those headlamps. You replace the lamp. Its led.

Not all are led. Side lights yes but main beam and low beam are halogen bulbs

About the engine , is your friend still on his first timing chain after the 200.000 miles ?

He had an accident in it unfortunately wrote the car off at 260k. Car still ran and drove sadly

​@@thomasvennekens4137.... not if the engine is maintained properly. Regular oil changes are all it needs to keep that engine running indefinitely. Oil changes are of critical in this otherwise very good 1.6 engine

1.5/1.6 =timing chain . 1.8 petrol / 2.0 litre diesel = timing belt. The belts are reliable but must be changed along with the water pump before 100,000 miles or 6 years. Timing chains in very old cars rarely gave any trouble, but modern cars are different and often follow complicated routes so recommended replacement times must be followed. Chains also tend to get noisy before a catastrophe On other cars changing these items often involves a great deal of time hence cost, but the Insignia is one of the easy ones in relative terms to change hence not so costly.

I have a 2018 grand sport Sri vx line and it has been nothing but trouble since the day I bought it, new fuel injector 3 days after I bought it, 6 months later back to dealer for new accelerator sensor pack and a new bonnet catch, constantly having to top up tyre pressure, just had to change the Nox sensor at a cost of £850, and my new problem, back seat gets wet when driving in the rain, my advice to anyone thinking of buying one, buy something else.

ive got the 2019 version and had no issues at all done over 20000 miles since i bought it at 30000, the pedal did fail but thats it, total spend so far 115 for pedal from vauxhall and general servicing

That applies for the silly glovebox complaint as well. It is a german car, of course the fusebox is there; out of the way, left to the steering column, as always. 2.) Battery enclosure a problem? What is wrong with it? Proper 3-bolt bracket, terminals right there! The placing of the ECU is also perfect, one is able to wash the motor easily. 4) You do not put the key *anywhere*, silly. It sits on your pocket. 5) The warnings are way easier to the ear/eye than on VAG's or Renaults. 6+) The jets are worse, yes. Need a backpressure valve there on the hose. Installed one myself; 15€, 20min.

Just bought a 2019 insignia 1.6 diesel and economy is poor. Far less than what is quoted. Otherwise rest of car is decent for money.

Is yours the 136hp or 110? I made a dedicated video on the economy and so long as your diesel filter is changed on service I achieved 71mpg driving sensibly. But normally on average I get 48-52mpg.

@blurbtv hi its the 136 bhp. Bought 1 month ago from vauxhall dealer with 50k on clock. Getting nowhere near your figures. If its easy to change fuel filter its worth doing it myself

@@hardipsahota2992 it's under the car near the fuel tank, if you car has start stop and is keyless make sure after you have done it to prime the fuel lines by holding the start button only till ignition comes on, do that two or three times and should start on the button. But the figures on my car haven't altered in my 3 years of ownership. Have a look at my economy video is you pass it. 😁

Personal opinion I suppose I have the face lift 64 plate but think the insignia B looks better, although the steering wheel in the A seems better. Edited to say the estate looks better in the insignia is B the A I would agree looks better in saloon/hatchback

No its not Peugeot,PSA started making Insignias from 2020-today i got 2019 Insignia GSI and its still GM so its still Opel before that i had 2018 OPC Line Insignia and it was GM so your not right….

Typical bloke, refuses to read the manual/handbook where half your questions would have been answered. Btw, turn off your stop/start and you wouldn't be seeing '47 to the gallon'!

Never used stop start always turn it off, please watch my economy video to confirm. You will find I managed to achieve 70mpg.
