Wow, did not know about Hope Valley. That shot of the cabin with the trees is the best! Taylor creek looks stunning! In all my years I've never been to Apple Hill. Only drove past the exit many times.

I sure enjoy your videos. You really showcase Tahoe’s beauty. And yes…! Good ol Apple Hill! Easy to over for it on all the treats. Lol. Hope Valley is a really beautiful spot to Cross Country Ski also.

I need to try cross country skiing this winter!!!

Tahoe has lots of great downhill skiing, but I always enjoyed getting away from the crowds and just enjoying nature. Putting on the skis and just heading out into a snow covered meadow is pretty amazing.

Gab - I asked you a question last year and ended up following your advice. Might go up there again this fall. Thanks for sharing especially as a landscape photographer! Keep up the great work!! Hope valley seems to be a good spot without too many people I guess- for fall foliage shooting?

Did the spooner hike this week . Too many e-bikes on the trail that you are always having to get off the trail for. The trees are pretty but better leaf peeping hikes that are more relaxing here.

I was there on Tuesday. It took 12 hours to get there with road closures due to 3 foot snow fall. Fallen Leaf Road was washed out. 89 was closed to Emerald Bay. The fall leaves were done. Taylor Creek was a rushing river over flowing the walkways. Not what I was expecting at all. Lots of snow. There were still some fall color down below Pickett Junction. Peaking.
