Just saw the news that Westeros is in it's early stages of making its official debut on the big screen in the form of a movie. Considering the many ''irons in the fire" HBO currently has going on with the amount of shows they are making for streaming, I'd like to think that they decided to send one to the big screen instead, specifically the one encompassing Aegon's Conquest. Just Imagine being in a theater and getting to finally witness Balerion in the flesh.

Varys knew what was said in the flames and he heard it right before he did. He heard Dracarys and that is why he has that look right before he died. He knew what it meant. I think the Jaqen H’gar thing has a pretty simple explanation: Tywin hired a Faceless Man to take out Ned. They knew what Joffrey ended up doing would start a war, but by having something go sideways either on the way up to or at the Watch they wouldn’t be held responsible for. So they hired him, Jaqen knew they would empty out the Black Cells for the Watch on the return to the Wall along with their other “recruits” and that would be the crew Ned would have gone up with. Then they just have to put Jaqen in the cells right before and voila an assassin sleeping next to his target on the months long journey North. You’ll never convince me Tywin was just going to let Ned go to the Wall and live scot free. No way
@myaalexander3547 күн бұрын
Tywin wanted to exchange Ned for Jaimie and end the conflict with the Starks so they could quickly switch their focus to dealing with Stannis and Renly. As far as Twin was concerned, they still had Sansa as a hostage to keep Ned and the North and Riverlands at least neutral while he dealt with the Baratheons, who he saw as the more immediate threats, particularly Stannis. Littlefinger is the better candidate, being from a Braavosi house and being the one to suggest the faceless men as a solution to take care of Dany and Viserys early on. It would make more sense that he hired Jaqen to kill Ned on the way to the wall to cover up his betrayal of him, being that he still loved and desired Cat at this point.

Jaquen was in the black cells because Littlefinger hired the faceless men to kill Ned on the way to the wall to cover up his betrayal of him. Littlefinger’s family is Braavosi and he’s the one who quickly suggests hiring a faceless man to kill Dany early in GOT. He’s clearly familiar with them.
@cyrilvankeirsbelk729912 сағат бұрын
Jaqen H’gar was in the cell because he wanted to meet Aria Stark. Did you think the encounter was accidental? He wasn't the kind of person to recruit someone without knowing just who she was. The whole encounter was designed to create a relationship with Aria. Syrio Forel probably informed him about her suitability if, in fact, Jaqen H’gar wasn't actually the martial arts instructor.

From my understanding, the main problem with the Game of Thrones series is that the last book was never written by George RR Martin. The developers of the series did a good job of interpreting the books, but when it came down to the last book, they had to write the stuff themselves and they didn’t do a very good jobof writing the material
@Annejali28 күн бұрын
I personally don’t see the first one as a mystery. I think that they were trying to give more depth to Varysis character. It felt like to me him, sharing his story as he was unboxing the man that committed these atrocities to him, showed how capable Varys is in getting what he wants. We also hear him say that because of what happened to him he’s against all witchcraft and magic; so it’s already been answered as to why he feels uncomfortable around any of the red priestesses presence.

From The Hollywood Reporter article. Not my words. Since the end of the original series, however, there have been countless changes to the company’s executive ranks (with HBO now headed by Casey Bloys and the film studio led by Mike De Luca and Pam Abdy), as well with the film versus TV landscape - including an increased willingness to shift cinematic properties to the small screen and back again. There has been Matt Reeves’ box office hit The Batman launching its acclaimed HBO spinoff The Penguin, Max’s upcoming Dune: Prophecy TV series following the success of Denis Villeneuve’s two films, HBO prepping a new take on J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter novels as a TV series, and Warner Bros. developing new Lord of the Rings movies even as Amazon unfurls its The Rings of Power TV show. In short: The idea that a genre property needs to be either a movie or TV show has become outdated, so it’s unsurprising that Thrones might be the next property to cross mediums.
@billydeez25Ай бұрын
I agree with you 100 percent about everything in the video, especially when it comes to Varys storyline. I personally would have loved to see Quaithe's follow up near the end. I felt they could of really made 10 episodes instead of 7 in general by adding some more interesting lore filler etc ... I also would of loved to see the Dorne women rotting in the cells for some reason or maybe also dying from fallen bricks lol.

I think a lot of these may be pearls that GRRM has clutched close to his chest so that his upcoming novels will still hold a sense of relevancy.
