Its missing to visit a lot of archeological sites like: Quiahuiztlán , Tajin in Veracruz , Palenque in Chiapas , Monte Alban in Oaxaca , Tula in Hidalgo, so on. It's interesting to visit Tlatelolco, too, there you can find archeologic ruins in same order than in Templo Mayor , because Tlatelolco is a mirror city. This city is a copycat of Templo Mayor. Also there you can find "Caja de Agua - Water Box " this is the ruins of an ancient aqueduct built by the aztecs . I think is interesting to visit anahuacalli in Coyoacan this is a museum but there you can find archeologoical pieces from western of Mexico. Good luck!

I've been to all the locations you've mentioned! #7? That's hard. I can think of 4 more places that could fit that slot: Uxmal. Palenque. Tula. Cholula. Uxmal is stunningly beautiful. It rivals Chichen Itza in its beauty. Palenque is also beautiful and the setting is magnificent in the jungle. You feel as if you were on a movie set. Tula is not as large but it is eerie with the dozens upon dozen monolithic warrior statues staring at you. Hard to describe the sensation of standing amongst these giants carved out of stone, but worth the experience. Cholula has the world's largest pyramid which is only partially excavated. Much of it is still covered and a church was built on top of it.

I think you have omitted five very important places: El Tajin in Veracruz, Palenque in Chiapas, La great pyramid of Cholula, which is the largest in the world in Puebla, Tula and yours Atlantes in Hidalgo and Monte Alban in Oaxaca. With this I think it would be the complete list of the most important Pre-Hispanic archaeological complexes in Mexico. Greetings.

Glad you saw all of those places but you are missing Palenque and Calakmul! Not sure if you intended to offer a ranking, but if you did, there is just absolutely no way Teotihuacan falls to #5. It's not only the most massive and best preserved, but also the one with more historical significance. Teotihuacan is from the 1st century CE... The rest of your list comes 1,300 years later... My list is 1-Teotihuacan, 2- Palenque, 3- Calakmul, 4- Chichen Itza, for 5 and 6 choose from Uxmal, Templo Mayor, Monte Alban, Edzna...
@maximradchik3420

You’re definitely missing Chiapas. You should go to Palenque in Chiapas, one of the most wonderful places. Also Monte Alban in Oaxaca. Oaxaca and Chiapas are probably the most wonderful states in Mexico and the richest in terms of cultural sites after Mexico City.

tehotihuacan was not made by the Astecs, but by the Tehootihuacanos, an unknown culture, who left no writing or vestiges of them, the Aztecs found it in ruins, and called it the city where the gods are born, that is, Tehotihuacan, its true name is unknown

You need to make a new count, after you have visited more ancient cities, because it is certain that your list will change after having seen the cities of Palenque, Bonampak, El Tajin, Calakmul, Monte Albán, Tula, Tzintzunzan, La Venta and many more. And that is how you will notice the differences between all cultures and, at the same time, their influences on each other

WHAAAAAAAAAT?! I am from Mexico City and I never saw that piece of art you showed in that building's corner in the first minutes. In my defence I was never around the downtown that much. Anyways, if you see this, I would really appreciate if you comment the names of the streets. I am coming to visit my family for the winter holidays (I currently live in Germany) and I would love to visit the place and take a picture of it. I just can't believe I was raised there and that passed completely unnoticed for 26 years of my life there.Thanks a lot in advance =D

Hey! I just came across your videos and I'm loving them! You should definitely try visiting Tijuana, Baja California. It would be a totally different experience from the other cities you have visited. I will not lie to you, there's not really alot of beautiful architecture and/or old gorgeous ruins to see here BUT you'll get to experience what "the frontera lifestyle" We have the worlds most busiest border crossing here" Tijuana MX/San Diego, CA USA.. and also we have the title of the city with the best food from all Mexico! (You can google that! It was even on the New york times recently) even the tacos are different and better here.. and that doesn't come just from me, but from the majority of tourist and even Mexicans from other cities. I think the reason from the food is because we have a mixture of people from all cities around Mexico(immigrants) that end up living here.. as well as other people from other nations that came here for the same reasons and end up making a living here. Also there's a big percentage of us (me included) that live a double life in between Mexico and USA almost everyday (In my case I work in USA but I live in Tijuana Mexico)... You can take advantage of the trip by crossing the border and go to San Diego, California which is gorgeous (don't know if you've visited), and Los Angeles of Course and even Las Vegas if you've got the time. In the Mexican side we have Rosarito beach, Valle de Guadalupe (which is one of the most popular vineyard town in whole Mexico (a MUST). You will also not have that much trouble with language since we are in a border city there's lot of people that know English and we use both pesos and Dlls . If you ever come you can send me a message (just followed you on IG @denyzel I can point out to you the MUST go places around here and in San Diego/Los Angeles area." You'll love to see the difference in lifestyle that we have here
