My dad loves dogs and since my childhood I have seen German Shepherd, Doberman and Labrador. But once he brings home Mudhol hounds they are just awesome guys, last seven years still active as young. We no more care about any rodents/reptiles or wild animals. Not saying they are not good but over time they get lazy, also demands more care. Hounds are just carefree and doesn't demand other than love.

We had a dog , which was Indian Parihar breed and trust me after seeing many people and their dogs - Indian pariharas are the best and mostly adopted for the Indian environment.... and when they are together, they are the last one to stand with you in any wrong situation. We had a dog which has some siblings but they were dead when I got there, only one was living, others were snake bitten and dead in an abandoned hut. Saved the dog and it was a gem. Train that for one single purpose , attack . Bite on neck . It took of a thief once... Argentino is also a good along with Belgian breed ❤

Agree. Specially rottweiler. And I disagree with him for Belgian Melenois because he's the best protection dog but for farms and home, he's useless because he's too much of a dog. No ordinary person who's busy can handle the energy. And for a family dog, it's a big no no.

Both are good, Malinois are more athletic - like ability to jump walls. This is feedback I got from an Army dog handler who trained Working line GSD and Malinois. Even though GSD looked stronger, he ranked Malinois better!

I am from Varanasi and I love bully kutta, kangal, alabai, caucasian shepherd etc but I know first they aren't available here and secondly they are not for guarding homes. But yes when I will go to my village for agriculture anytime in future, than would definitely want any of these breeds for protection against coyotes
