Your diet plays a big part in establishing gut health and supporting your microbiome’s good bacteria. Research over the past several decades has revealed evidence that there’s an inextricable link between a person’s microbiota, digestion, body weight and metabolism. In an analysis of humans and 59 additional mammalian species, microbiome environments were shown to differ dramatically depending on the specie’s diet.
The flip side is also true: Your gut health can impact how your body extracts nutrients from your diet and stores fat. Gut microbiota seem to play an important role in obesity, and changes in bacterial strains in the gut have been shown to lead to significant changes in health and body weight after only a few days.
Top 6 Foods for the Gut:
1. Bone Broth
2. Probiotic-Rich Foods
3. Coconut Products
4. Herbs & Spices
5. Wild, Organic Meat Products
6. The Right Types of Fruit

You mention smoothies my smoothies are usually raw . I enjoy a spinach ginger blueberries smoothie some kale i will be adding cardamom and fresh peppermint now. Is that ok for gut health??
@drjoshaxe
@drjoshaxe 4 жыл бұрын
Hey Terri! Eating raw vegetables isn't an issue for everyone, but it is for some people. Blending fruits and vegetables into a smoothie may help your body digest those foods. It's important to pay attention to how certain foods make you feel and do what works best for you! You can learn more about eating raw foods here: draxe.com/diets/raw-food-diet/?.

Dr Axe, im confused which is actually the number 1 herbs for our gut health ? sometimes you say Astralagus and other times u say Ginger.... I am HelicoBacter Pylori positive, and i think i have stomach ulcer, altho i dont have any gut pain, but i have many other annoying symptoms, chills and severe discomfort like im coming down with a severe fever after food, Acne, losing weight, constipation and loose stool .... So frustrating, i also found out tht my main trigger food is EGGS ??!! i love eggs, i use them to gain muscle mass when i work out, but unfortunately i cant consume it now, apparently the H Pylori bacteria love eggs as well, wat a bummer .... but thanks to your video i have an idea of what to do. Oh, i did buy some of your products, i love them thanks so much !

Hi Dr. Ash. I've watched you and Jordan for a long time. About 3 or so years ago I was having terrible gut problems, even had to go to the ER. So instead of going on meds that the doc wanted to put me on, I started researching. That was about 3 years ago now and I found Paleo. It helped me so much and actually healed my stomach. And so much of that way of eating is very close to what you've just outlined in this video. So........ getting to the point, we've moved into KETO, and my question is do you not agree with the KETO plan? I know you both are so into nutrition and that food can heal..So I am very curious how you feel about Keto. ??? Thanks
