Little Kids LOVE the Cave Store. It is good for them for exposing them to educational stuff. Stairs are not an issue or saftey issue. I remember when I was a kid at age 5 and my parents took me on vacation. Now I just moved to Chula Vista.

Thanks Bernie know I went on one or 2 of those bridges. I'm actually afraid of heights.,so no bueno. I didn't know about Coranado. The cave in La Jolla looks familiar, except for the price. Please do more of these as San Diego has so much to see.

my hidden gem: la jolla heights natural park off Encelia drive. Absolutely breathtaking views probably similar to what Dr. Seuss once saw... for absolutely free.

The S.S. Monte Carlo was a WW1 Liberty ship which was sold as suplus after the war ended. The Irish Mafia bought it, anvhored it 2 miles off shore of San Diego (so that it was just outside U.S. law). During prohibition they turned it into a speakeasy, casino, and bordello.

The stairs to tue cave in La Jolla was originally dug for smuggling in the 19th century and continued to he used by smugglers into the 1930s.
