“Kalsu” 100 thrusters @ 135# EMOM 5 burpees. I have never wanted to quit a workout so bad half way through. If you’ve never tried it and want to see how much willpower you have to keep going this is the WOD to do 😩

Agreed! Kalsu is horrible. Anything with thrusters is horrible. I love burpees though

Agreed! Did Kalsu ‘light’, #75, and it TRASHED me!! Basically, burpees to weighted half-burpees!!

Smedley (sled-sprint-carry medley): Push or pull appropriately weighted sled X meters, sprint back to start, sandbag, farmer or Dball carry to sled; repeat for 800 or 1600m.

Bergeron Beep Test: EMOM for 15 min 7 thrusters 30/20kg 7 burpees 7 pull ups The original says, the workouts ends whenever you fail to complete the 7-7-7. We do this: if you fail to complete the 7-7-7, continue with 6-6-6 and so on. So you will definitely do 15 minutes. Thats my all time favorite most painful workouts. It seems easy at the beginning, but at 5:00-7:00 the fatigue starts kicking in and you will have a death wish.

Murph with a 45 pound flack while carrying a 50 pound sandbag on the runs. Also did this in the middle east when it was 110 degrees...not the smartest decision.

i have done some of your TOP 6, but in my Toughest list would definitely also be "Frantasyland". A nightmare of a WOD.

Wow... I’ve done many benchmark WODs and Hero WODs in my almost 4 years of CF... But, my very 1st Open Workout 17.1 dumbbell snatches and burpee box jump overs ~ that was brutal and still is. Also, my favorite, yet painful Hero WoD is Hidalgo.

Fran goals, should I am for unbroken 21 forgetting the rest of the wod, or strategist better than that?

Shaun Lumley I got down to 3:30 doing 16+5 (21), 10+5 (15), 9. Once I was able to do it all unbroken I was able to knock another 15 seconds off. Play with your rep counts. Try unbroken and see if you can maintain. If not then try the above rep count. It works well.

The seven was it for me. Fight gone bad, that was pretty bad too, so was Kelly, but man, the seven was the only workout I ever considered actually quitting.

Kalsu without a doubt for me. Took me 48 minutes to finish (that's 240 burpees with the 100 thrusters at 135lbs)

Hardest workout I've done was Morrison, I never want to do that one again, done it twice and horrible both times (scaled and RX)

I like the med ball carry. I have a 💯 lbs punching bag I like to carry. Around the block is a 1/2 mile and I do it twice for the mile. It's brutal. My hardest workout though was DT. That kicked my ass. Crip was shot and lungs on fire.

Done Kelly and Fran lots of times though Fran always been scaled. Did 1/2 marathon row once. There’s a reason for that....... it was awful 😂🙈

Surprised Kalsu isn’t on here haha. My worst WOD ever. Did 4 thrusters for first 10 mins then 3 thrusters for the rest to finish sub 30 and never wanted to quit so bad because of the burpees

Probably 17.5 did it rx but i don't have DUs (at all) i was a few reps off finishing when when time expired. work outs where you pick your own weight and have to go unbroken touch and go or hang cleans/snatches can get bloody tough. i always a challenging weight that really pushes my limits.

The sequence of exercises are 1. dead hang chin up; clapping push-ups; burpees and 30 seconds of jump rope for no rest between sets of 15, 12, 10, 9, 8 - 1. I don't remember the time it took me to complete it but I had to sit down for 5 minutes when I reached the #5 rep of the series. Great full body workout!

King Kong. 3 rounds of 1 deadlift 205kg, 2 RMU, 3 squat cleans 115kg, 4 HSPU. One of those WODs that it’s either you can do it or you can’t.

My worst WOD ever was the Hero WOD "Tommy V", 21 thrusters, 12 rope climbs (RC), 15 thrusters, 9 RC; 9 thrusters, 6RC 115/75

The chief 5 rounds of 3 min AMRAP 3 cleans @135lb 6 push ups 9 air squats 1 min rest between rounds I think that was the most painful wod I have ever done

If I had to pick, DT definitely is a grip destroyer, “ Kelly”, and the workout Small has just way too many burpees

15.5 was the first Open WOD I ever did. My legs did not work for about a week. Ham Sandwich is awful. Hansen is another one I absolutely hated.

21-15-9 back squats, deadlifts, dumbbell bench press 40-50% of 1rm back squat weight on barbell 40-50% of 1rm for the bench press same barbell for squats & deadlifts, no using a rack spreads the work around, easy transitions, gets the heartrate up very quickly no workout makes me want to chuck more!

Whitten 5 rds for time- 22 kbs 53#, 22 24” box jumps, 400 m run, 22 burpees, 22 wb 20#. 40:21 first two rounds feel good then after that just miserable

I can see this is a three year old comment, but this WOD was unreal. I did it Rx when I probably shouldn’t have but wow. 100% agree!! I actually did 70lbs kbs now that I think about it.

"Sage" or "Sage at 20" 20 min AMRAP - 20 thrusters 135/95 - 20 pull ups - 20 burpees Ouch!

for a few mental fucks: true grit it was a partner wod and swear to god id never do this again its a workout called ugly 80 and last but not least it was a amrap of 10 deadlifts 10 thrusters 10 OHL

1 mile run/1.6k 100 pull ups 200 pushups 300 air squats 1 mile run/1.6k With weight vest no less than 20 pounds.
