I think back is the one muscle group in which it is almost necessary to find a good seated back row machine in order to maximize gains. Sure you can do pullups, barbell and dumbbell rows, and a deadlift variation and achieve an envious back, but those exercises are all difficult compound movements which really tax your nervous system, and if training with correct form and intensity, leave little to no energy left for any other exercises. Chest, shoulders, arms, and legs can all be conquered with barbell and dumbbell movements. But back needs more. With that said you need to utilize often those hammer strength row machines which hit from all angles in very specific ways. That should be added to any and all routines 💪 Great video as always 🙏

Rightly named the Meadows Row. Bro should've had more movements named after him as he innovated tactics-of-target. I'm not a bodybuilder but I love his videos. Been watching for decades, learning new accessories, like the Meadows Row done after Kroc Rows 😂 🤜🤛 RIP JM

can someone explain the difference between a Romanian deadlift and rack pulls in the style that John is doing them here? Because I can't see the difference but also I feel my upperback a ton when I've done RDL's, so I might be doing them 'wrong'.
@THELORDVODKA
@THELORDVODKA 15 күн бұрын
RDL'S go deeper down with straighter legs pushing ass even more out. Whole point of that exercise is hamstring stretch. Naturally exactly same muscles work here and in John deadlift but at different ratios. Here emphasis is more on lower back (hamstrings work too). Upperback soreness is also desired and normal as you are also engaging whole traps. Thats muscle gets activated in almost every back related exercis incl. carrying weight straight arms and shruging. Thats why many ppl don't bother training it. RDL essence is to go as deep down as you can, potentially even touching the floor with stiff, slightly bent legs and ass sticking out like you trying to display it. It must feel almost as if you trying to stretch fingers to floor with straight legs, proper tension in hamstrings. For lower back you dont need to go too deep, maybe to knees or bit more or less, less leg stiffness, less trying to stick your butt out.

I love the Meadow’s row but right now I am working out at Planet Fitness (feel free to roast me 😜) and they don’t have a way to do the row. Anyway when I was at my old gym I tried it and it was the first time I felt my back engage If you have the capability to do the Meadows Row at you gym I highly recommend that version of the Row. Keep up the great work all involved in keeping this channel going!
