The bottle openers included in the bottom of Galil rifles should have been included. Not to mention the ball and chains in the rear of Merkava turrets to protect against anti tank weapons.
@adamadler5411
@adamadler5411 2 жыл бұрын
Nowadays the chains are just aesthetic, the sound they make and all that is awesome but its got much better active and reactive defenses. The "wind jacket" was new and kind of secret when I was in active duty but that was 6 years ago, today I'm sure they've got better stuff. The bottle opener is just one feature you had the bipod that folded flush and doubled as wire cutters.

As an Israeli I can tell you more tactics that were in the military like in the Six Day War we advanced with our army into Egypt and because it is a very difficult desert route the Egyptians thought it would take us a long time to get but one idea halfway changed everything ... when one of the commanders just released air from the wheels of Vehicles and we were able to travel on the sand at the fastest speed. Part of the surprise that awaited Egypt

Some of these examples I already knew about, such as the seltzer bottles, and some I didn't, such as the Llamas🤣🤣! What I don't understand is why you included Krav Maga as a weird tactic. It is a very effective fighting style and it is certainly not uncommon for a country's military to develop and officially adopt their own self defense style. Many countries do this. 🇺🇲🇮🇱🇺🇲

Right. In fact, in army it's not krav maga. There is 3 styles: army, bodyguard and police, and civilians. We use kapap lotar קרב פנים אל פנים we use body, weapons and must know some weak point of body etc etc.,
@MottyGlix
@MottyGlix 2 жыл бұрын
For general information, "kapap" is the acronym for the Hebrew phrase in the above answer, "𝘬𝘳𝘢𝘷 𝘱𝘢𝘯𝘪𝘮-𝘦𝘭-𝘱𝘢𝘯𝘪𝘮", "face-to-face combat". I think "lotar" stands for "𝘭𝘰𝘩𝘢𝘮𝘦𝘪 𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘳𝘰𝘳", "terror fighters". In Hebrew the adjective follows the noun.

I am shocked that some of those things are not a common sight on other forces. Should have probably covered the use of armored D9 bulldozers as a front line unite that supports both infintry and tanks. It's one of those things that once you see it in action, you can't figure out how other ground forces are oporating without it.

I think it's because most armies don't use the term combat to describe forced removal of civilians. Real armies tend to target enemy forces not civilians.

'Not thinking outside the box' - also, armies order what is offered by 'private' companies - it's not that an army develops their own weaponry (maybe in conjunction, usually with (ex) military input and trials). One of the few products I can think of (as a civilian) are those armored trucks, protecting against IEDs - at first they used the battle-proven South African 'Casspir', that was quickly adopted by US truck-manufacturers.

During Operation "Defensive Shield"("חומת מגן"), in 2002, a new tactic of progress was used within a built and hostile area. The method is to break holes in the walls and progress through the houses themselves.This way the enemy does not know which direction you are coming from and thus you have the surprise factor.

You can not say that the Skunk (BOESH) is a non lethal nor it is friendly, especially when you put this wild beast in the hands of the Israeli Police, which will take the advantage of this highly powerful high pressure water canon and will ambush even quiet-non violent demonstrations, will operate it against all protocols and will cause severe injuries, just because they can.

I actually didnt know about the llamas and its surprising. But I think one of the most uniqe Israeli tactics that you missed is what the Idf had done in Jenin and Nablus in Homat Magen operation. After a wave of terror attacks Israel has decided to get inside this cities and clear them from armory that used against her. The Palestinians saw it coming so they trapped all the streets with mines and bombs, and also built stationery for their shooters. To prevent casualties, the Idf decided to use an unseen before tactic that corespondes with the built of the city. Beacause arabic building built in a very dense, wall to wall structure. The troops decided not to march on the Street and advanced from a building to building by open holes in the walls. Mostly with hummers and also with explosives. This operation was an absoloute success.

Thanks for the interesting facts and a good range of comments. Enjoyed it. In my opinion, the main reason Israeli forces continue to dominate their Arab opponents is the fact that they are capable to think and make decisions on an operational unit level. The IDF are masters of common sense, they are brave and at times bold, but there is always reason behind their decisions.

Great video. But, number four is not unique to, nor was it invented by, the IDF. Mine clearing line charges (US: MICLIC) are used around the world and have been in the inventory for decades. They are used to as an explosive form of breaching against enemy mine and wire obstacle efforts. It's a cool piece of kit, but.. not really weird.

- The Miznefet, translates to hankerchief, using ones head (pun intended) - Lamas ! In Hebrew, lama למה means why. So why lama, or lama lama ? The best weapon though is the private on the front line. In basic training we had a saying, every private is a Cheif of Staff. The meaning being, that when push comes to shove, and as the situation requires, every IDF solder can take the initiative and do what's neccassery to go on with the mission.

@@jamespena4721 Questions in Christianity 1 - Why does God need a son in the first place? 2 - If the father and son are eternal, when exactly did the son become son of the father? 3- Which is the most criminal ? Eating from the tree that caused the original sin or killing the Son of God, as Christianity claims? 4- What is the relationship between the forgiveness of sins and the sacrifice of the Son of God? 5 - Can God forgive the sins of mankind without shedding innocent blood? 6- What is the Lord's need for incarnation? And if he incarnates, is there a need to believe in the Lord if He stands before you? Because faith is the belief in something unseen ? That is why people do not need to believe in the sun that they see every day 7- Could Jesus, peace be upon him, be a god and a human at the same time? Can he be alive and dead at the same time? Is it possible to be knowledgeable and ignorant at the same time? Can he be strong and weak at the same time? Can it be self-reliant and self-sufficient at the same time? 8 - Why did Jesus, peace be upon him, not say himself, not once in the Bible, “I am God” or “worship me”? 9 - Why did Jesus, peace be upon him, not say himself that God is three persons in one person? 10 - How can three hypostases be in one person? Nobody will ever understand 11- Why did the father sacrifice his son? Will he redeem people from himself? Isn't he the one who decided to torture them? 12 - Why do Christians believe that their gospels are from God? Isn't it the Gospel of Matthew, John, Mark and Luke? 13 - There are more than 80 gospels, so why were only 4 gospels approved, and who decides that? 14 - Does the Lord allow the writers of the Gospels to put their personal touch on the words of the Lord? 15 - Does the Lord incarnate after breastfeeding go to the bathroom? 16 - If Jesus, peace be upon him, is the word of God, what does it mean to crucify and kill Jesus, peace be upon him? Does this mean that the word of God has been killed? 17 - " In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. ", Is there a beginning to God? 18 - When the Word became flesh and was sent to the earth, did the God Who Is above become without a word? Or there are other words ? 19 - Can the word speak ? can word of the word speak ? 20 - If the purpose of sending the word of God to the earth is to make people believe in God, why didn't the Lord send His knowledge, power, greatness and self-sufficiency embodied to the earth in support of His word? 21 - If the Son of God sacrificed himself voluntarily, wouldn't that be suicide? And if he was sacrificed against his will, then what is the need for worshiping a god who can't ward off death on his behalf, let alone the torment on behalf of others? 22 - If the Gospels are from God, why do It contradict each other, and why It are filled with moral, scientific and historical flaws? 23 - If Adam, David, Solomon and Jacob were The sons of God in the Bible, why do you worship Jesus and leave the rest of sons? And if their sonship is metaphorical, why do you worship Jesus? 24 - Jesus said to her, "Do not touch me, for I have not yet gone up to my Father. But go to my brothers and say to them: I ascend to my Father and your Father, and to my God and your God” (John 17:20). Does God have a god? 25 - Will the one who enters Paradise see God as one or three ? 26 - When the Holy Spirit was incarnated in the form of a dove descending from heaven, shouldn't the dove be worshiped for the same reason that Jesus was worshiped? So there are four gods and the matter becomes more complicated for the mind of any human being who thinks and does not disrupt his mind 27 - " I regret that I have made Saul king ", Does God regret, and does he make a mistake in the first place? 28 - " Now go, attack the Amalekites and totally destroy[a] all that belongs to them. Do not spare them; put to death men and women, children and infants, cattle and sheep, camels and donkeys.”, Does God order the killing of innocent infants ? And what crime did they do ? Why do Christians claim that Christianity is the religion of love ? 29 - Why do Christians believe that Jesus, peace be upon him, has risen from the death, even though no one has seen him during his resurrection? All they found was an empty tomb, someone might have stolen the corpse of the Lord as they claim 30 - Genesis 1 : 27 So God created mankind in his own image, Does God resemble His creatures ? Is God white, black, tall, or short ? 31 - According to the verses ( Deuteronomy 13 : 6-10 - Deuteronomy 17 : 2-7 - Matthew 5 : 17 ) does Christianity tolerate the apostate ? 32 - Matthew 15 : 24 " But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel ", Is God racist ? And why should we worship someone who was not sent to us ? 33 - Matthew 10 : 34 " Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.", Why do Christians claim that Christianity is the religion of love ? 34 - What is the name of the Father and the Holy Spirit in Christianity ? Is there a worshiper who does not know the name of his deity ?

And overkill is the point so you don't get shot in the face but youd know better than that from your years of war experience in the levant right?
