Anor londo staircase skip my beloved, as a sekiro gamer I think I’ve died to ornstein and smough Mabey twice but even if you think you can waste um on the first try this skip is still invaluable to save a runback after the Lautrec invasion.

This video make me remember the crazy cursed skips, like duke's archives yellow fog weird parkour, or the one when iron golem trow you to te moon and in some way you en up in anor londo. or the ones in that you have to navigate throug walls to skip the dephts key or the seal key to get to the four kings bossfight directly.

This is the best compilation of all these skips. I've had to _skip_ around KZbin to find these in the past. I've still never managed to do Sen's Skip!

Sens skips is mainly difficult cus of the goofy movement but when i got in the kill box whilst in a parry it made me chuckle alot

When i first played ds1 my dad rtold me i had to do the stair skip and i do e it ever since and i never knew it was a skip lol

While I understand skip #7 is used alot for speedruns as it is obviously alot faster than killing Ceaseless, for casual players otherwise this skip is not really worth the hassle as Ceaseless is basicly a free boss fight. Just grab the item that triggeres the fight and run back to the fog gate. Stand directly at the fog gate as close as possible and when the boss comes close he will try to jump at you but can't reach you, leaving him hanging on the cliff. Just attack his hand few times with a bare fist and he will fall to his death. Free 20k souls and no skip to learn. Easy no hit strat. Btw: Not trying to down talk your video or anything just wanted to add something to it. Your content is as always high quality and I still don't get why your channel hasen't been gaining traction since the secret messages videos..

I chose not to include this one as i felt it didn't really make much difference given how relatively easy Iron Golem is to dispatch. Plus getting the positioning correct for it can be a tad tedious. But, if i do another "skips" video for DS1, i'll be sure to include it!

DS1s map design is masterfully interconnected and crafted every inch of the way, why anyone would want to skip parts of it is beyond my understanding. Why not simply skip the game? Getting to play thru less content of a game you enjoy seems idiotically counterproductive.

It's called speedrunning and is a challenge run that a large portion of the community is dedicated to. Soeedrunning doesn't take any from the game, and is just a fun way to see how fast it can be completed. Some people speedrun all bosses, any%, eith glitches, with skips, no glitches, no skips. Its just another way to play for challenge runners. And that aside, people can play dark souls any way they like, it's their gane, and whatever way makes it enjoyable for them, is 100% fine.

There it is. The “they can play however they want” comment. No shit. They certainly can, and I can certainly judge them. Back to your initial point, I can understand that. For a speed run it makes sense. For a new player , it’s bad advice. New players think they want one thing and really may want another. I used the dupe glitch in the OG demons souls because I thought I wanted to make it easier. Had the shittiest shallow experience in a video game I’ve ever had. People don’t always know what they want.

@stevemichael652 At no point have I advised new players to do this, Iwould personally not recommend it for a first playthrough. But that's just my advice, there is no judgement here, not from me, and not from this community. That sort of comment is not welcome here. It is not for us to determine what people may want over what they think they want, it's not our place. We can advise, and that's it, zero judgement on how people choose to play their own games.
