The sitting on someone else's bike is the one I have the biggest issue with. How anyone, biker or not, can think it's okay to sit on a bike they see parked outside a place of business, is beyond me. People have asked me why would it bother me if they are just sitting on it. It's not like they are riding it. So I ask them how they would feel if they came out of the store and saw someone sitting in their car - just sitting there, turning the steering wheel and making vroom vroom noises. Not only would it piss them off, they would probably call the cops. But if someone is doing the same thing with my property, all of sudden it's okay. No, it's not.

Bikers wouldn't sit on your bike. A bike rider would. There is a difference between bikers and bike riders. I've been riding for 40 plus years solo and in clubs and you can always tell the difference by the actions of the riders. As soon as people arrive at an event you can tell.

I will admit I am absolutely a throttle jockey. It started out due to having a bike that would stall at low rpm (horrible tune) and over the years, it's became second nature to just twist the throttle when she starts to idle down. It doesn't help that I do like the sound of my bike. I'm horrible around overpasses.

Where im originally from theres a strip of bars and clubs called the nautical mile. The kind of area where gangstas in rented lambos like to show off. Anyway, one night a pack of cruisers pull up to a light, sitting at idle waiting for the green. Guy at the back has a gsxr, custom paint, neon everywhere, extended swingarm, etc. Starts throttle jockeying so lound the gods could hear it. Very irritating way to go "hey look at me! No! Look over here!" Then it became very expensive, bc there was a lound bang and the characteristic sound of 3 cylinders dying at 10,000 rpm and a broken connecting rod clunking around. Light turned green and the cruisers pulled off and left this jackass to push his bike into the lot.

A lot of people don't realize the reason we used to pop the throttle and rev the motor at stop lights was the "lead" in the fuel in the 50's and 60's. When the bike idled the carb would lead up, so we popped the throttle to clear it. People, there isn't lead in the fuel anymore, a bike will idle all day you don't have to rev it at stop lights anymore.

100 % agree with all of these. When I first started out and at the beginning of every riding season, I practice maneuvers in the local university parking lots. Emergency braking, figure 8's etc. Furthermore, I was at an event and a guy sat on another dudes bike. His buddies were gonna kick his ass until they were informed by their president, dude had permission to throw a leg over the bike. NEVER EVER sit on another person's bike. Ride on !

Great stuff Matt, I wish I lived closer I'd enjoy visiting. You seem to have a great crew and pretty good service record. Again, I wish I lived closer. You put out some good information and it looks like you had fun doing it. Again, I wish I lived closer. I have witnessed every stereo type you featured and it's about time someone addressed this, thanks again. Hoping to visit someday... Looking forward to the next production.

Might be my favorite video of yours yet and I hope there will be more like this! All the actors were on point and I agree with all of these. A couple foot dabs are ok when you are getting the bike moving but yeah, get your feet off the damn ground. Especially that a women should somehow be confined to a sportster or moped. I loved how Lady Bad Bonez couldn’t help but break character and laugh! But I am 5’4 160 and ride a Road King Special so in this case, size does not matter so much! This is great stuff! If I ride over to SoCal again I will for sure stop by Laidlaws

Confined to a Sportster?? Just what the hell is that supposed to mean? I'm 64, 6'240, Marine veteran, combat veteran, ridden over a million miles, and I ride a 2006 Sportster 1200L. By choice. Your type really pisses me off, and that's probably something you don't want to do. You might wake up looking at a hospital ceiling.

@@geraldscott4302 my point was most people have the idea that women should only ride sportster and that any more bike is too much for them. Just saying that’s not true at all and I don’t believe I said anywhere that taller people shouldn’t ride a sporty. So Jesus get over yourself

@@geraldscott4302 which it still seems like you took my statement totally different than it was intended. I want everyone to ride what they want to ride and I havnever put down anyone over their choice of bikes. You took it wrong and got all bent out of shape for whatever reason. My point was don’t let someone’s size or whatever determine what bike you think they “should” be on. I was agreeing with the point the author of the video was trying to make not knock someone’s bike choice. Ride the hell out of your sportster and be safe, fuck dude.
