Pretty good list! The only thing I would change is the hydra...would toss it on the last spot just because of how slow it is. Before it reaches the enemy it's either already over or the hydra gets pelted by ranged.

Angels are the best because of their overall power, the fact that you can get them in Griffin Conservatory and that they are good with any army ( you'll almost always see a spot reserved to angels in 1v1 random map match regardless of the starting town ) but the strongest are devils ^^

tbh, if we're talking about unupgraded Behemoths are obviously the best of them all. The whole point about being upgraded is getting yourself a quick start. I tend to go Stronghold and dab in my opponents face when I come knocking on their door 2nd week with my Behemoths, Wolf Riders and Thunderbirds. Gotta love Stronghold. The Offensive skill from Craghack is sooo good.

Devils have no retaliation, can beat many other T7 and are generally useful in fights.

I dont get why u put behemoth on that position. In right hands it can be amazing beast doing insane damage. Cause of low speed and low attack? The attack doesnt really matter when u have such an armour ignoring

@@fxalexei "Only" 40% ? Duude, because of that, it basically has the highest attack of the unupgraded level 7 units. By far. Level 7 units have between 16 (hydra) and 20 (angel) attack. Level 7 units have between 15 (bone dragon) and 21 (devil) defense. 40% reduction of 15 means -6, while on the devils it would be -8. So a behemoth, when it attacks (17 attack), it's basically like attacking versus 9 def (bone dragon) up to 13 def (devil). So he has between 4 and 8 attack bonus. That's the highest of all level 7 creatures, seconded by angels with -1 to +5 attack bonus. Quite far less. As if that's not enough, it also scales massively with hero stats. Suppose two heroes with 10 attack and 10 defense battle. Now the behemoth has 27 attack, but when attacking other level 7 unupgraded creatures of the other hero, it will ignore between 10 def (bone dragon with 15 def + 10 def bonus = 25 defense. 40% of that is 10 defense) and 12 def (angels/devils with +10 will have 30/31 def and 40% of that is 12). So it's going to be 27 attack vs 15 to 19 def for a total of 8 to 12 attack bonus. That's 40% to 60% extra damage. TL:DR; The behemoth has the highest damage of all level 7 creatures.

Devil is not there to beat angel but be fast hunter of weak and pathetic. Which angels are but devils give them chance to attack first from pure gentlemen mannerisms. In real devils are very fast are good in cherry picking certain units and have high survivabilty. Imo they complement their town very well. Just thought expert offense + bloodlust + expert slayer. They will make ketchup out of all 7 lvl units. If some of them die just use sacrifice…

Hydra is so low?? She takes no recoil and can attack 4,5 or even more units at once if you can position it well giving it the highest damage output of all level 7 and you give them spot below Behemoths that have no extra properties then just being a big infantry unit? I understand, Hydras can definitely go above behemoths and green dragons, but dragons have better all around stats and behemoths are very cheap and you can have access to them very quickly.

Hydra deserves to be low, as much as I love fortress. Unless you have haste or teleport, you'll never get to attack more units, because everybody will run away. Or kill the hydras by the time they get somewhere. A behemoth has much higher damage and is much, much cheaper. Of course it ranks higher.

portal of glory is way too expensive compared to pyre, firebird has faster speed so you can always open the game with a spell cast.

Indeed. One on one an angel's going to win, but Firebirds are infinitely more cost effective (as is the Conflux town as a whole, which is the biggest reason it's banned in tournaments).

Are you kidding me ? One angel totally does not beat 2 firebirds. With no morale, the firebirds kill the angel even if they do minimum damage. With maximum damage (well, 36 on average, before attack/defense bonuses/penalties, 34 after) they kill the angel without even one of them dying! The angel CAN win if it has morale in the first turn. And if the firebirds deal the minimum damage, the angel can also win if it has morale, but in the second turn, surving with just 4 HP. Which will never happen, unless the firebird has curse. Except that in non-HotA it CANNOT have curse. So basically, no morale in the first round = dead angel. And even with morale in the first round, if the firebirds do equal or more than that 36/34 damage mentioned above, they can still win if the angel doesn't ALSO have morale in the second round. Two phoenixes (unsurprisingly) mop the floor with the angel. With no morale, even on minimum damage, the phoenixes kill the angel without one of the phoenixes dying. With morale, the gets to kill one phoenix, but still dies in the second round, without even getting to see if it can get a second morale. Not to mention that having the higher speed in order to be the first to cast is ultra valuable, more than the attack/defense/hp/damage stats in most situations. So, no, in SoD the angel is not #1, but firebirds/phoenixes are #1 (bullshit OP tier)
