Found this super helpful!!! Gonna share this with my class for sure ty bro! Btw, Stache Air, who's been blogging airman testing written, oral and practical tips for the past 13 years, has become a full-time DME and is no longer able to create content (conflict of interest w/ the FAA) based on the ACS codes or A&P topics in general as of 2 days ago. Not sure if you wanna incorporate that into your video content creation mix one day but the days of Stache Air as the go-to source of educational info for aspiring A&Ps are done :(

Hey Bryce! I've been watching all your testing videos since I finished my AMT program back in December, just wanted to let you know I passed my O&P's last week and I'm officially a licensed A&P mechanic!! Passed all three knowledge tests as well as my O&Ps on the first try, thanks for all the advice!

Just passed my A… O&P April 5th 2024. From my experience the O&P was easier than the written test. You will be asked around 20 Questions for Gen & 20 for Airframe . While you do your practicals (9 for general, 11 for airframe) . Your DME will ask you 2 questions per practical on the actual practical you’re doing. For example I had to clean a de-icing boot and the question was what can you use to install a di-icing boot . So another 40 questions. There will absolutely be a random question that you never heard or studied in your life. But you can get a few wrong. I hope this helps 🙏🏽🙏🏽

About the weird random questions, maybe they are non-graded questions that are being developed and tried out for potentially being put on future tests. This is done a lot on FCC amateur radio tests.

It happens don't be discouraged because now you know exactly what you need to study to retest. And do you want to know a secret I failed the first time around too. Now I'm an IA and I teach it. Stay motivated brotha

Look over the ACS practical projects. Anything you feel you need help on, ask your instructors about, or if you are going the practical experience route, you could also consider a crash course

The DME should write them on the 8610 then it's the same as the writtens look them up in the ACS standard

Yes, but once you take the general written you only have 2 years to finish the rest of the.

Great vid I unfortunately failed my airframe O&Ps but I’m retaking them tmrw. U made it clear on the oral portion about the questions getting reasked. However what about the practical how is it when you retake it?

Question... if i pass my General & Airframe written then orals and practical and i become an Airframe mechanic and for some reason i wait 2 years and my writtens expire do i have to retake them all or just powerplant written,orals and practicals?

You already have the A so you would just have to take the power plant test
