Hello from the UK. The colour's good, but be aware that dirt and paint chips are very visible on the fluoro yellow wheels (my buddy has a 2017 MT10 in the grey and yellow). Also, check out the R&G tail tidy, and SC Project (Italian) exhaust system - personally I think it looks and sounds awesome . Everybody seems to opt for the Akrapovic, so Dyer/dare to be different!

Ah, thanks for the heads up.. Only a true Britt can appreciate the most awesome colors.. LOL I say that because I am from Yeovil ( west of Sherborne ) UK... I'm not going Akrapovic, I fell in love with the sound and legal features of the Yamaha engineered Yoshimura this way I'm not getting busted for sound levels and emissions etc... its legal by 2db ! LOLa Tidy tail will be the one that is offered through Yamaha Europe MT series, still uses existing arm but really cleans up the back end, last year for 2018 I got ride of the tail piece all together and missed it as I had it on my 2017 so for 2019 ill keep it there but as you said, make it clean and tidy.. Micah Morgan only kicks I get are kicks in the A$$ or troubles. From all the items in your list, I think monetization is a great idea! I would maybe suggest using some of that money to fuel some more dedicated comparison videos for our benefit with that money aside from just throwing stuff at us which is also helping us. Exhaust comparison video would be great, especially from a Canadian stand point. AND the windscreen issue seems to be a big one for me personally, there's so many to choose from and coming from other bike types, which one will feel best?? More upright ride which some Sporty guys won't be used to getting slapped around by wind right?

Hi. Make sure you choose the radiator grill to be black or silver. It depends on what u like. I prefer it in dark color. Anyways. It will be an awesome bike upgrade. Let's see.

Elie Nehme thanks Elie! I don’t like and don’t agree with the one that is offered from Yamaha USA. Because that one states the use of zip ties to your rad which means you have to feed the tie through the radiator fins ! That’s a big Nono in my books and I don’t agree nor do we offer it for our market from 2017 to 2019!! Only 2016 and older as the radiator is different. Quickshift screams for an exhaust LOL. it would be like listening to a F1 race at volume 1 !!! just doesn't cut it ! LOL first time I installed the grips last year I was like yuck ! hate the hard feel and will be very buzzy but actually they are not and felt pretty good being I ride both gloved and bare.. the MT09 is such a smooth bike that we can be at ease knowing we will not get the bar buzz so no need for such squishy absorbing materials etc,..Cheers and as always, love the support guys ! Ian Curtis tire suggestion would be unbald ones lol.. sorry you got me there as I couldn’t tell you. I dislike the stock ones cause they get chewed up super fast ! But I worry about dual compound for MT as I’m aggressive and worry it’ll go into a skid a lot easier lol... I honestly love the style and the sound of Yoshimura but the Yamaha one ! Not that I’m trying to promote Yamaha but the Yamaha Yosh has the cat. It’s also 98db with baffle in and its 52 state legal !!! Sweet!! Sportshield is a plus ! sorry for the delayed reply, i wasnt notified by YT that i received a message! I did half half so to speak, i missed it when it was gone but the stock holder was way to big, so what i did for the 2019 was just a the back plate holder which allowed me to keep the euro style floating over wheel assy but just a lot smaller and cleaner that stock plastic piece. i would go through route again as i find that the bike is too naked without it Thanks for your feedback, Be safe Cheers Rob

Rene De Jesus hey Rene. No. The yosh pipe we offer here through Yamaha doesn’t require it therefore I didnt go that route. For the past 3 years I have been using the same exhaust setup and running factory settee mapping and not a single hiccup. I was searching out for a PowerCommander but there wasn’t anything made for MT09/FZ09 for 2017 and newer for street approved anyways.. I will continue to run it with its stock settings and knowing that Yamaha will back it up 100% for warranty purpose as there is no warning of required fuel management assistance etc.... For what I have read and seen. The difference is so minimal that unless you are using this bike to track with and nothing else then it’s really not worth the extra cash out ! Again we are street riders and not multi-million dollar racing team trying to win world GP. Etc... I may have exaggerated that a bit too much but I’m sure you get what i mean... again the Yamaha engineered Yosh pipe is different than the standard pipe you get from Yoshimura’s consumer website ! Yamaha only offers the two screens for the 09 since 2017, there is a flyscreen "really small" and the sport screen "larger" They both look great but he sport screen does add the comfort factor behind it. Cheers and thanks again !Rob

There is a yes a section in the installation instructions for the mount where they say to drill the hole and insert the collar, Why ?? Beats me !! I didn't do it to my last two and that was using the bigger sport screen, I had done over 15,000kms on them and no a single issue. I will follow the instructions this time around and see if it makes any difference but yes as for the last two I did on my personal bike, it worked flawlessly and was smooth as butter ! I love that sport screen have the perfect amount of lip at the end to take the pressure right off your chest and yet still looks super clean and compact without it being an eyesore. fills in the front gap just nicely...This shield does come from Europe so you should have troubles sourcing it from my gathering...Cheers and let me know how you make out finding that 3rd connector on the right side which is used for your aux lights. Trust me, its up there tucked away,,, a paint in the butt to get, so take your time, If you want, I have another video to make today as we are getting the new wheels ready so ill take two seconds and show you that stubborn connector when the fuel tank is on... Hope this helps so be patient as I get this done for you all today...CheersRob.

Mt-09 Vezz good day my fellow MT09 rider. For the MT09 from 2017 to 2019 there is a additional wire connector you would buy which allows this grip set to connect to the factory harness using only one connection. If you do not have this harness (sold separately from grips) or your MT09 is earlier than 2017 then you’ll have to go to the battery (the grips packaging will include a universal harness to battery ) for all those non MT09 and or Yamaha branded bikes Take a look at my Instagram account for additional pictures of the connector locations robdyer1975 is my id Cheers and hope I answered your question Rob

Hey Lars, Hope all is good my fellow MT09 rider ! First off, lucky for your guys that you can get the Akrapovic pipe through Yamaha Europe. Here in North America Yamaha Motors do not have the privilege to do this product as it has exclusivity through other North American distributors etc... We however off the Yosh lineup for Yamaha which is slightly different that the standard Yosh RS series...As for running any pipe especially a full exhaust for the MT09 because this is the only way to run it without having to modify your stock exhaust by cutting and welding etc... Some units do require or I would say suggest that they are combined up with a fuel management system or "remapping" for optimum performance etc I personally have been running Yosh and keep the mapping the same.Do note there may be a difference between Akrapovic standard and Akrapovic Yamaha ! Same as there is a difference between the two Yoshimura pipes !Important note here which you need to know...If Yamaha or any manufacture for that fact offer a exhaust or performance product and don't state that you need something else with it then using that product on your unit will be fine as it was tested and approved for it.If you want to be extra secure for your own warranty purpose then you can have the dealer install it but then again that is not a requirement and only a recommended statement which you would see in your installation instructions manual.Best and safest thing for you to do is to reach out to your local Yamaha dealer and or even call Yamaha head office in Germany, They are all there to support you and the products. Yamaha Customer service number 1 my friend.I looked at the website and I can say from what it says, Just Pipe and go !1 nothing else needed and you're in business ! @David Hughes, @e4syyyyeah for 2017 and newer all this remapping and flashing and throttle modules don't seem to be very known and or almost none existent ! I have not done any of that nor do our products require that, this is the products that are offered through Yamaha and not on their own...I have seen a number of messages and videos about remapping and flashing and so on and from what I gather, the users say in the long run they don't see that much of a difference other than loosing weight from their wallet lol...If Yamaha or any OEM manufacture that offers this through their accessories site and do note state that mods are required its a good to go and they are reliable for what may happen, just make sure you have all your invoices and workorders set aside if you need warranty assistance., nowadays with FI and being bikes are so computer controlled I don't we need to worry so much etc.My two cents worth as a biker ! Do note that I may work for Yamaha but none of my products or statements are endorsed by Yamaha. CheersRob

Keith Rhys oh that’s a bummer.. the blue is factory paint the wheels are pulled off a 2017 FZ09 then there is the stripes on tank which are coming from hooliganstickers.con and side cover decals are from the 2018 MT09. Still have to paint the fenders with more blue from TouchUpDirect. This design follows the same styling as Yamaha snowmobiles and our watercraft along with our gear for motorcross. No block or remapping needed or wanted . She runs perfectly fine with the Yoshimura from Yamaha engineering. Cheers and thanks for your input. Rob

for the past two years when I went with the Yamaha Yoshimura, I simply fell in love with it, making it black would make it super bad-ass ! Ill pass on the info to engineering group ! Sorry if you disapprove of the color scheme, again there is a reason behind it as it follows along the colors of many of our products here at Yamaha. It will not be a permanent solution so it if doesnt look good when completed and voted by you all the viewers then it will possibly go back, something to see and discuss once done. LOLThis design flows along the lines of our Snowmobile line and Watercraft along with fashion for our offroad.this design I would like just allows it to flow with the rest of the products we offer. But each to their own and I do tank you for your input, There will be a slight difference than what you see as I need to paint the black plastic parts blue too. Sorry GA Aero, I couldn't tell you as I have not heard either of them in person. We do not have the rights to Akrapovic here at Yamaha Motor Canada. But from all many exhausts I have heard on Yamaha MT09 , I truly fell in love with the Yamaha Engineered Yosh, this is not the same as the standard yoshimura pipe as the one that was designed with Yamaha Engineering team which does have the catalytic converter in it ETC... I would reach out to a few others on KZbin who are running those pipes and get their feedback..Do please keep all of us posted and if you do go with something specific please post it and tag me.Ide love to see stories from you guys too.Cheers and thanks for reaching out and your support..Rob

GA Aero Noice !!! Only kind of crash protection that truly works is insurance 🤣!! Ok all kidding aside... if I were to compare protection by OEM VS Aftermarket VS price VS function... this is what I would personally do just because I went through the ordeal of the crash with protective gear on my bike.. some work and some was simply cosmetic bling.... On AliExpress you can find what you need ! Yes I’m going aftermarket on this one... if any readers don’t want that then look away now! You can always buy the engine guards from Yamaha 1RC-211D0-11-00 which will protect your engine casing, that’s it! I found and ordering it up myself so I can get it powder coated to flow with my new design a full lower engine cage. Now you have to be careful for which or you choose because there are a few out there.. there’s one that looks like a bull horns or cop style for touring bikes and there’s a one that looks like for a Paris Dakar racer.. those two are a no !! You want one that well looks like two Y’s !! In AliExpress search. Simply type on MT09 engine guard. Scroll down a few lines and you’ll see it.. you’ll see two cash frames in a shape of letter Y! This like to be the cleanest compact full casing and side protection you can get at an amazing price !!!! For the price of one Yamaha OEM casing protection you can buy this guard and axle pucks both front and back and still have enough for a full tank of fuel ! Lol Axle pucks, again from AliExpress or what they call axle sliders to find they ones I had and buying again because they actually worked !!! Search MT09 axle sliders. You’ll then see lots !! Which one do i recommend, it’s the all black pucks. There are two in the picture front and back, the rod between them are both black and silver and top left corner of the picture is the name of the store called DuDuDanQi.. I’m sure you’ll be able to find it.. yes it says MT09 14-15 but they work up to 2019 as I confirmed with the seller because I bought my 2018 ones from them and confirmed they are exactly the same ones as before. They have ppl trim the rod length for prior to 2017 bikes for rear axle. For upper protection. Well the bar ends already act as protection in a way and nothing that you can do really to not have damage to bar etc.. things are gonna bend etc.. all the upper portions are fairly inexpensive to replace compared to buying a bar or control cage protection devise ... I’m simply protecting my mid to lower and the end bits because from my last years impact . The lower and axle sliders actually worked ! The upper protection did not.. so it was more of a bling than function... Hope this helps and I hope you find what works for you.
