Mine too I had a 65 Maroon with the 283 three speed on the floor and it ran pretty good. It wasn't really fast but it was fun and economical and big enough to go parking in.

I think of all the Chevelles, the 69 is perfect in every way....and the 1970 also....but I give the slightest edge to the 69.

I had a 70' LS6 Chevelle, Kelly Green/White interior, dealer A/C, Auto. It was a monster...but, gas crunch was in full swing, I drove it 3 months, flipped it. Bought my 74' SD Trans Am with the money.

Great episode ! On these completion or best of episodes I think we’d all love it if they were a little longer. A little more on each car would b great. And I know they’ve all had their own respective episodes but I think these compilation shows should b respectively longer. More is always better Kevin ! Lol. Thanks for all u do !!!

Nice mix of Chevelles. I had a 64 Malibu SS 283 4 speed that was not the fastest for sure but was a lot of fun to drive. On the other end of that scale was a friend's 70 SS 454 4 speed he got for our senior year of high school. I only got to drive it occasionally but it was a beast. His Dad was a local bank president so he was lucky enough to get that car. Don't we all have some we wish we still had. I always enjoy your videos as well.

As soon as I saw Chevelle I had to click! I love all the 64-72 GM A-bodies, but the Chevelle is my all time favorite. I personally have owned 3 1970's, 2 1971's , 3 1972's, 2 1968's, and a 1967. I've had every body style. ...2 dr. Hardtops, 2 dr. Post, 4dr. Hardtops, 4dr. Post, even a wagon....the only one that I never scored was a convertible! They're awesome cars, and some of the best looking iron to ever roll off a assembly line! Eventually, I'll get another one, hopefully a documented LS6 70, but for right now I'm having fun playing with my 77 Impala sleeper 4dr. Which is essentially a Chevelle chassis under the skin anyway! BTW.....you justification gained a new subscriber!

I would like to see an episode of all the best 1970 Gm muscle cars you have. My fantasy would be a drag race and comparison testing but your cars are just to nice and too rare for my nonsense. It seems 1970 may have been gm’s best year ever over all? I can think of amazing Buick’s, olds, Pontiac and lots of chevrolet’s from the nova to the corvette that year I love.

@JT-SE-OHIO5 жыл бұрын
Am I the only one who doesn't know who these "Brothers" are that are fortunate enough to own all of these cars? I always liked the Chevelle's the best. Their size seemed to be just right and I liked the four link rear suspension with coils better than the leaf springs that were in the Camaros and Novas. A Chevelle with sway bars would corner much better and come off the line with less wheel hop.

@yeseniakrueger18635 жыл бұрын
Only the 1969 copo 427 chevelles .......
@ineffable11295 жыл бұрын
Yes you could get a 427 in the 66' Impala, the full size line always had access to the biggest engines. In 67' GM removed the L72 version from the option list, they also removed the L78 from the Chevelle menu. In both cases you could still get them special order, they both return as listed options for 68' and 69'. As far as factory production goes the only Chevelle's to get a 427 were the 69' COPO's. Prior to that there were some dealer swapped 427, these cars were typically factory L78 396's and the dealer swapped the short block for a L72 427, the rest of the parts are the same.
