Hi Sam, We will visit Cremona in May’2023 via driving from Nice, thinking we may visit Bergamo, u mentioned that Bergamo is surrounding by lakes and mountains, we are interested in short 1 hour hiking and nature, any recommendations? And of course good local food or market to visit. Thank you in advance!

That was a typical Lombard wash-house; you could find a similar one also in Crespi d'Adda, the "British like" little town right near Bergamo. I think my grandmother used a wash-house like that sometimes when she was a little girl.

Yes, definitely! Just make sure you have warmer clothes and umbrellas as it can get rainy and the temperatures start dropping :)
