Nice one as usual. Good call on the SKB's. I have 2 Ithaca SKB's. One 500 in 20Ga. One 600 in 12/mod/full for late season walk up. Great guns. Never fail. Had them in the family for many decades. Always the guest gun. Everyone loves them.

Love your videos and surprised to hear you mention SKB again. My father had an Ithaca SKB 500 o/u that I grew up shooting. I found one of my own a few year's back in new condition, fully embellished (top grade), and possibly never fired. Its stamped "Ithaca guns of Canada, Dunville Ontario", haven't seen another like it. I also own an Ithaca SKB 200e sxs in very good condition. They are not the fanciest guns, but are very good shooters and well built.

I love Lanber shotguns..my all time favorite. I've been shooting a 12ga sporting one for years now. Love that shotgun. I have more expensive ones but my favorite is the Lanber for sure. Wish I could find more here in the states specially the sporting ones. They have a ton in the UK but I have not found anyone that would import those for a reasonable price. Keep up the good work guys. I am a fan of the channel and always glad to see that clay shooting is so popular in the UK. Is in my bucket list to go over there and shoot some sporting clays with the Brits. Hopefully it will happen soon. Cheers to all!!!!

I have watched a number of your videos today. Both you and David the shooting instructor have touted the AYA shotguns. Some time ago, you reviewed anXXV by AYA. I was fortunate enough to use some Churchill XXVs when I was a teen. One of my dad’s friends had a bunch of them. At any rate, the 25 inch barrels suited me as did the Robert Churchill method. I have wanted an XXV for a very long time. have never been able to afford one. I know you Brits like longer barrels and the 12 gauge. Here in the Southeastern USA we hunt quail and a short fast handling gun serves the purpose better than a long barreled gun. You mentioned how cheaply the AYAs could be bought use in the UK. It is rather rare to even see one in the classified here. So, if you have one CHEAP! I would be interested. A 20 gauge with open chokes is the thing or even a 28 gauge. I am not good enough to use a 410. The 410 is an expert;s gun when hunting Bob White quail in South GA. Also there is a scarcity of the Miroku OU in 20 gauge here as well. The ones we see are under the Charles Daly brand. Miroku built them from 1963 until 1976. The original guns were dead copies of the Browning Superposed. Again if I can get a 20 gauge with 26 inch barrels choked imp.cyl and mod. At a cheap price I would like to obtain one. That is where you come in, get me a very good price and ship it to my FFL so we comply with the law, I sure would appreciate it. My email is fishindul@aol.com. Help me if you can. Thank you, Dave Bishop Athens, GA.

I'm surprised that companies haven't modified pump action models to restrict capacity to 2 in the tube in order to be compliant with UK law. I know many Brits love hunting and I'm sure pump action shotguns would be a big seller there. I wish we could find O/U for that price in the U.S. There's very few choices of decent O/U's for under $800 in the US. Here in my area of the US over under shotguns are normally $400 minimum. Most are imported from Italy or Turkey. It's super fascinating to see every day shotgun prices. An entry level break action shotgun normally costs around 100-150 dollars here. Side by side shotguns are 300 dollars for the cheap Chinese clones and over-unders are normally 400+. A lot depends on the previous owner and how well he looked after it. make sure you buy from a reputable dealer who's prepared to fix it if it give you trouble. Guns unlike a car are seldom taken for a test run. and you only find out if its a lemon when you are on the range. The best advice I would give is to join your local clay club because there you will meet more experienced shooters who will be a mine of information regarding all things shooting including what gun. Also you will get a chance to try out different guns and find your preference before you spend any money

Some of the States in America now days, in the past few years they passed laws in some of these States that deer hunters can legally use certain rifle calibers instead of shotguns or muzzle loaders. Ever since they passed these laws, they now have more shotguns for sale in these certain States then they know on what to do with.

I am not very familiar with U.K. gun laws. Why would you not recommend a pump action shotgun in there. They are absolutely reliable and I would trust them more over the semi auto that you showed
@kekistansupreme71716 жыл бұрын
luckynbr13 pumps aren't "sporting" over there... You can get them but you would get laughed at. People much prefer autos and break actions in the uk
@luckynbr136 жыл бұрын
Kekistan Supreme I guess it is just a cultural thing. I consider the semi auto shotguns to be the most unsporting and I wouldn’t give up my mossberg 500 for anything

My mates just bought a pump action as his first gun, a few people up where I shoot use them and I do like them but I wouldn't really want one unless something special pops up. Semi Autos and pumps are generally seen as unsporting depending where you go, you may get a few strange looks at the more snobby clay grounds but where I go we are all a sound bunch and shoot everything under the sun.

Deplorabology yeah bout that i obviously fell for a bullshit comment on a Facebook site and it appears that only full caliber pistols can be held on a standard section 1 other than that no different to British law.

Hey. Thanks for the tips. Curious why you didn’t mention the Webley 951? I was in the shop a month or so ago doing some preliminary research for a first purchase and the chap I spoke to there was very pro the 951 (and I see you’ve got plenty in stock around the £500 mark)!

first gun recommendations?shooting rabbits ect?
@HJDore6 жыл бұрын
Eoin O'Reilly really depends on budget and what you want the rabbits for. A 22lr is plenty for rabbits and you can eat them after, however it’s not unheard of to use 223 and 243 for rabbits, but that’s an expensive way to deal with rabbits. You could use a 12 bore but it’s best to be sat in the back of a landy if your using a shotgun, on the other hand a bolt action 410 can be used out the window of a 4x4 but you only get one shot.

if you are walking up rabbits in a wood with or without a dog. A lightly choked 12 or 20 bore o/u sst shot gun .Using light loads 28/21 gram no 6/5 shot will do the job. If you are going to snipe from a vehicle or a fixed position at distance then a .17HMR bolt action rifle will do out to 200yds but be sure of your backstop. closer up a .22 bolt action or semi auto rifle using a .22lr subsonic hollow point will do but .22lr are more prone to ricochets. It all comes down to the type of method you intend to use no gun can fit all these methods that why when you ask a shooter how many guns he has he says 7 or 8 that because he uses each one for a different job
