Well done. I had one of these a few years back. Spun in Also built the TF GS P47. Highly modified and detailed. Still have that. Building the TF Cessna 182 at present. Bought that kit during my first trip to the US back in 96 😮

@@FranksModelAviationWorkshop I crashed it twice, dead stick and could not get back to the strip and members of public close so had to pancake it in, broke the wing. Got another kit of ebay and built the wing but think I stuffed up the CG as it was not nice to fly at all. The big P47 flies well at 38lbs. Hopefully the cessna will too. Had the GS Corsair but sold that kit.

Is the the field near DuBois? I belong to Wings of Williamsport and Ronnie comes and flies with us several times a summer. Very nice guy and one hell of a flyer. Also, Frank, I am glad your maiden went so well. You put a lot of time into that model!

@@FranksModelAviationWorkshop Thank you! Just an FYI though. The OS max .95 is a beast. It's in a 60 sized case and you can literally remove an old OS.60 and bolt in the .95, same case! The .95 is lighter than the .60 too. I put one in my Carl Goldberg Ultimate thinking that it would be underpowered as compared to the YS 120 supercharged four stroke that I usually put in them but NO and holy crap. The weight savings in combination with the near same power is outstanding. It idles so well that gasoline pilots get jealous OMG tick tick tick. Thats with a heavy 15-8 APC prop which on that small of an engine (60 size lol) acts like a flywheel. It rips it too and isn't the largest prop that you can run on it. Think about it a .60 sized case holding an 15" APC prop, it absolutely looks silly holding just the bare engine with that prop on it lol. Anyway don't shy away from trying/using an OS .95 super-light powerhouse! Shocking! Thanks again and Wow you built a beautiful Warhawk that has a very rich History! I'm impressed!

Thanks for the tips. My plan is to build two Ultimates. One gas with a DLE 20RA, and the other with an Enya R1.20 GP 4 cycle. Yeah, I know, that Enya is a pig. 🤣😂 I’m just using stuff I have lying around to finish my planes. 👍

11 pounds 1 ounce. Balance it with the gear up. Mine was perfect to the plans.

The spinner and prop are the Top Flite Static display units. I flew it with a 2-blade Xoar 16/8 WWII prop, and a Dave Brown 4” spinner.
