Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May back in the Top Gear Patagonia special in which the trio will embark on a 1,600-mile journey through Patagonia to the southernmost city in the world. They will be driving the Porsche 928, Lotus Esprit and Ford Mustang through swamps, beaches, forests and ski slopes while at the end there's going to be a car football game against Argentina.

If you do not know why they got attacked is for Clarkson's number plate: H982 FKL. On Argentina they referred that plate as the war on 1982 on Falklands Islands who Britain win. The 3 cars got stuck in Argentina, the cars never arrived to Chile. The cars got destroyted in Argentina for order of the government, the police denied to protect the crew and all the team, they only decided to go with them on the trip to leave Argentina. It was a stupid decision of the argentinians to attack them.

My Dad was in the RAF and went to the Falklands in 1982. He said the Argies sent there to fight didn't want to be there. Now it seems the whole country hates us because they lost. Short memories and bad losers. Should blame their own politicians, just as we should ours for the wars they get involved in and send our troops to just because America wants it.

It's obviously still a sensitive issue... many Argentinians died during the war. I am sure those soldiers didn't want to go to war but had to and they died, so there is naturally some resentment. Top Gear team crossed the line too much this time.

Compare that to Okinawa where the American's lost 12,520 killed in action out of the half a million deployed in a similar battlefield. Whether or not they wanted to go to war they did, they fought in a suprise illegal war and outnumbered the British and still loss, if my nation had no honor or victory I would also be a bit angry.

I was in the British army just after the Falklands Conflict. All I'll say is that Buenos Ares and Mendoza are incredible places, and the people I met were wonderful, and so friendly.
