1973 was the year when the action genre started to take over from romantic genre with zanjeer although bobby was the biggest hit of the year and daag too was also ahead because romantic genre was still successful until 1975. But jugnu yaadon ki baarat and many other action films became successful and technically majority of hit films belonged to action genre compared to romantic genre. Episode pasand aaya Rakesh bhai 👍👍 Ye saari filme T. V. par hi dekhi thi school ke dino me. Dhundh, Black Mail, Joshila, Manchali, Abhimaan kafi pasand aayi thi mujje. Video me aap ne kai filmon ko above average bataya hai collection ke hissab se? But mujhe collection thik lag raha hai. 1 karod 45 Lakh thik hi hona chahiye kisi film ka collection yadi wo 90 Lakh me bani hai to. Baharhaal aane wale dono episodes ka intazaar rahega mujhe Rakesh bhai 🙏🙏

Even the flops and the average movies were superb! What a great collection of stars, songs, stories direction. Each one fully entertaining and pissa vasool. Although I only saw them on Utube. Kache Daage, in my opinion is masterpiece. It is the best daku movie ever made, but Khosla was such master that even Shareef Madmaash is a very good movie. There are some nods to Jewel Thief which I found very entertaining.

Manchali was released in February 1974 and not in 1973 .It was Anhonee a big hit starring Sanjeev Kumar and Leena which was released in 1973 as far as i recollect.

I must add that Abhiman was “inspired” by A star is Born, and frankly the movie was completely miscast. Amitabh didn’t fit the role of a glamorous pop star. He never looked like a teen idol even at the height of his career. Jaya Bahdori looked too plain and ordinary for a big pop star to fall in love with her and definitely not beautiful enough to become more famous than her husband. Rajesh Khanna, this was his forte. He could be devastatingly handsome and yet look detach and rejected. Rekha would been the ideal village girl who becomes a big a star. The music although good is very uneven. It’s odd to hear three different voices for the same character. The movie needed a touch of glamour, something that was not the directors strong point. This was Yash Chopra territory.

@@rakeshsadeo it is but the story is about a pop star, that is demonstrated in the first song, who falls in love with a beautiful girl whose fame surpasses his which leads to his down fall. Amitabh and Jaya lack these qualities. Plus the happy ending basically undermines the story’s impact. I have seen three remakes of the same story, A Star is Born. And each one an exceptional movie my favorite the one from 1979. This movie is to say the least, lackluster.
