My God this video was AMAZING Super hyped for my fellow Italian Team amazing Judo! So many counter in this video to rewatch and learn from, wow,I need to work more on Ko soto,but it is a technique that simply do not stick with me i'm alwais alwais afraid of doing some harm to someone in the dojo,to the knee or the leg in general

david terao who landed the yoko tomoe nage is a beast! born and raised in hawaii, did wrestling and judo up until HS, and was a D1 college wrestler. Got his BJJ black belt recently and now competing with hopes of getting an olympic spot for paris.

The Ne-waza technique by Makhmadbekov reminds me of Kashiwazaki. He did very similar things against the turtle and from the bottom position in guard.

81 kg and maybe 60 kg are really the only weight classes where you are likely to see some Tomoe Nage. The reason everyone favors Sumi Gaeshi nowadays is because you can use it to score against a downed opponent, who hasn't entered into newaza yet according to the rules, so it's more versatile.

I don’t understand nothing in this sport. After the throw you need to figure out who got the point, i mean the one that is supposedly the winner, after the throw ends up usually in worse position than the one that was thrown. What is the point of throwing somebody on the floor if you are right there on the floor with him, and your back exposed to him. Strange sport.

Because they don’t care what happens after they win and it’s easier to just follow through
