The youth of today do not seem to understand the meaning behind "May you live forever" for that was an insult that he will never know honor of dying in battle and it was all due to his betrayal. Also Leonidas didn't kill Xerxes for he only wanted to prove one thing and that is even God-Kings can bleed and Xerxes's reaction to seeing his own blood broke the illusion that he was a god and so in the end Leonidas proved his point to be true.

When Zack Snyder have a story that´s defined and outlined,preferably something written by someone else,his talent is undeniable. He makes excess a virtue,this whole movie is a lot better then it should be. It´s a visceral,gripping movie that still holds up. Although some things sucked 19 years ago and suck now,
