Definitely a great vid, can tell you put a lot of work and effort into it. However, I just have to say that at the high champ 3 to low or mid GC ranks, prejumps are extremely rare and tbh I very commonly see mistakes in terms of awareness and flexibility on the field.

Started playing RL in 2016. Had to leave for a few years, but getting back into it. Just now started playing solo queue ranked 3s, I'm currently in Gold. Gonna do all of these training packs that I can. I'll report back in the future. Some of these earlier techniques are ones that were a mystery to me, specifically how the timing of the bounce AND the timing of your flip can alter the trajectory of the ball. Soo many times I've blasted the ball super high right in front of the net and missed easy goals.

Such a clear and thorough tutorial, nice one man. Update: I am comfortably in C3 in 2s after following this training for about a week or so! Update. I watched your video around 260 hours. Checked my career stats. I'm at 405 hours and I'm champ now. Thanks to your knowledge. I'm improving extremely fast I feel. And all I want now is to hit gc. I've been deranked to diamond 3 times now. I'm champ again. Only champ 1 div 2. I've hit a plateau. But I will continue to use these fundamentals in free play. Working mainly on ground now. Spent too much time training air when I was plat and diamond. Thank you. Honestly I still feel as I'm diamond. So that's what I'll say I am until I hit champ 2. Thank you thank you thank you!!

Glad I finally came across this video. I've been wondering how to improve and break out of the plateu I've seemed to come to for a while now, but just didn't know how to move forward. I also found some new info I hadn't heard before. Can't believe I didn't realize flipping too early is why I sometimes pop it up instead of drive it. Great tips and explanations. Thanks man!

I may be watching this video of yours late but you’re an incredible teacher regardless of subject. You’re accurate in your analysis of problem and solution and accurately make the right of passage to correct behaviour even if you are vastly above the “ranks” involved. I’d imagine you’re well educated in something specific or/and just a very well natured teacher

This isn’t in reference to these videos specifically, I just mean in general from your content. You explain concisely with direct videography and edit well in consistency with your description. You’re a very talented content creators who has found a serious niche and passion with rocket league. Very very skilled and talented and I hope will be highly praised beyond your already giant fan base. I hope you read this and appreciate your own worth. Fantastic, well articulated content. :)

I know this is an old video but, one thing that isn't stressed enough in this video is that when doing custom training at ANY rank, make sure you are able to score the ball left right and center before moving on to the next shot. I like to be able to score 5 times on the left without missing and 5 times on the right without missing before moving on to the next shot. If the shot is really difficult I would skip this for now but it's a really good rule of thumb to get more comfortable shooting anywhere on the field.

This is one of the few games i can play with my little cousin and really enjoy, while i am good enough right now to play with my buddys who are plat/diamond and have been to champ, i can score just as much as them with how i play now. I purposefully dont try to get better so its still fun with my little cousin and its not just me scoring dozens of times each game.

Thank you so much for this video. At this point in time I have been playing RL for only about 2 months. I'm ranked Silver III. I still make many many many mistakes like whiffing and mistiming aerial approaches. I lack consistent power in hits because I don't have good car control and don't know the basics. I learned so much about what I don't know from this video. I have a lot to look forward to learning. Thanks. Keep up the good work.

From my personal experience, the thing to learn 10-20 hours into the game is to watch and predict how the ball bounces off walls. It's super easy to do, doesn't require you to master any mechanics or complicated control, but highly beneficial in a lowrank match. So instead of ballchase aimlessly (like much of the lower skill player tends to do) you wait and anticipate where the ball might end up and set up a play. Not only does will save you some boost, it might get you a goal too. Practicing it is super simple, everytime your queueing up a match, go to free play, and just hit the ball from various angle and speed onto a wall, and then go to where you think the ball might be bouncing, then touch the ball before it hits the ground and then repeat. If you miss the touch then you fail, the less miss you have means you're improving!
