Started playing RL in 2016. Had to leave for a few years, but getting back into it. Just now started playing solo queue ranked 3s, I'm currently in Gold. Gonna do all of these training packs that I can. I'll report back in the future. Some of these earlier techniques are ones that were a mystery to me, specifically how the timing of the bounce AND the timing of your flip can alter the trajectory of the ball. Soo many times I've blasted the ball super high right in front of the net and missed easy goals.

I know this is an old video but, one thing that isn't stressed enough in this video is that when doing custom training at ANY rank, make sure you are able to score the ball left right and center before moving on to the next shot. I like to be able to score 5 times on the left without missing and 5 times on the right without missing before moving on to the next shot. If the shot is really difficult I would skip this for now but it's a really good rule of thumb to get more comfortable shooting anywhere on the field.

This is one of the few games i can play with my little cousin and really enjoy, while i am good enough right now to play with my buddys who are plat/diamond and have been to champ, i can score just as much as them with how i play now. I purposefully dont try to get better so its still fun with my little cousin and its not just me scoring dozens of times each game.

Thanks so much for this! I'm trying to go from silver to gold 1s and getting stuck in the middle levels, will definitely give this training a go!

Thank you so much for this video. At this point in time I have been playing RL for only about 2 months. I'm ranked Silver III. I still make many many many mistakes like whiffing and mistiming aerial approaches. I lack consistent power in hits because I don't have good car control and don't know the basics. I learned so much about what I don't know from this video. I have a lot to look forward to learning. Thanks. Keep up the good work.

Little late, but this is an awesome video- you go over some really nice details that people tend to forget to mention. Even something like "hit shots with the corners of your car" is overlooked often.

Extremely well made these are all the shots/mechanics that I miss or need in my game

Best video I’ve found to lay out a training program and I’ve been looking quite a bit. Thanks for the great guidance.

19:15 you forgot to mention that the cicle on the ground helps out the positioning under the ball while dribbling

From my personal experience, the thing to learn 10-20 hours into the game is to watch and predict how the ball bounces off walls. It's super easy to do, doesn't require you to master any mechanics or complicated control, but highly beneficial in a lowrank match. So instead of ballchase aimlessly (like much of the lower skill player tends to do) you wait and anticipate where the ball might end up and set up a play. Not only does will save you some boost, it might get you a goal too. Practicing it is super simple, everytime your queueing up a match, go to free play, and just hit the ball from various angle and speed onto a wall, and then go to where you think the ball might be bouncing, then touch the ball before it hits the ground and then repeat. If you miss the touch then you fail, the less miss you have means you're improving!
