Leslie...such a great interview. Experience, knowledge, caring, love of the sport and wanting the best for the players on/off the court, league and present/future fans exudes from you. I've always felt the man upstairs took you under his wings with your skills, intelligence, giving of yourself, humbleness, grace & gratefulness for his blessings. Love how you continue to share your talents and the things you have learned along your journey. Thinking of you/family in FL always. Miss seeing your mom in CA though. Marilyn

Lisa is amazing and still one of the greatest to ever stepped on the floor. The women's games is just as important as the men's. Plus I feel that, they should have been getting paid more than they do.... For they have families to take care of just the men's.... So those women's and all women, who play the sport should get more recognition they deserve...

Lisa Leslie was not only a great player, she was soooo generous and classy! A group of deployed soldiers got to see the Olympics team play in Budapest, so it was a BIG deal for us -- Lisa was the most generous, positive player there and did exactly as she stated: after the game, SHE gave all the soldiers a moment and autographs despite being tired and wanting to get on the bus, I'm sure. Many of the other players did NOT even stop for a moment and couldn't be bothered. I've always was a fan of hers, but after briefly meeting her and watching her with those young soldiers, I admired her for being well-spoken, gracious and classy.

Facts & I feel all of the talk about CC is hyped up. She's good, but she has to do more than shoot a 3 ball! I feel the media has disrespected all Hall of Famers and Legends who paved the way for current players of today! Anyone that knows basketball know you can't discuss basketball and act as if there weren't GREAT PLAYERS before CC! Truth be told CC isn't that good! She needs to ELEVATE every aspect of her game! Period! People have watched the WNBA for 25 years & CC is 22. She is not the SAVIOR of the WNBA! Yes, she sales tickets but popularity NEVER won a championship! CC is a two time NCAA LOSER defenders shut her down. The whole group of first round draft pick are talented not just CC. Plus her fan base are causing a racial divide! Saying angry black women are going at CC Even Breanna Stewart hit her with a hard screen! NO CC talk sh!t and throws elbows like everyone else! So, of course, they are hacking her! She better do like Micheal Jordan and get physically stronger and endure the physicality of the game! CC is not the best due to high turnovers and sloppy defense! She has to become a fierce perimeter defender as well! That's my opinion! GOOOOO ACES🏆♠️! GOOOOO TEAM USA! 🇺🇸 She isn't better than ANY ONE of the GUARDS on the OLYMPIC ROSTER! So she can sit and take note and try and level up her play! CC isn't ready yet! If she goes to Paris, they would rip her a new A$$WHOLE! She's not ready for international play yet! Mind you, more talented guards are coming into the league next Spring in the WNBA DRAFT 2025. 🏀 🇺🇸 🏅

I totally agree, cc is going to be a great player, but she hasn't reached that status yet. Angel Reece, karmilla cardosa, they all are going to be great players in the league, all of the rookies coming into the league this year, they all look good and will definitely help grow the league. The rookies are putting too much pressure on themselves, they have to realize they are in the WNBA now. They are playing against and for the best women ball player's in the world.

This is such a dope interview. Lisa bringing up the Sparks hit me especially because that was the first team I knew of and grew fond of! Mentioning the work they had to do in their time so the rookie's can be who they are now. Yea Aces are doing it right through and through from top to bottom.

I really wish the WNBA vets would stay out of the new life that's been given to the league through the new rookies. While Lisa is an exception, I don't want to watch or see them. I literally want to turn the channel when they're on. Show me Angel Reese and CC. D@m!!

that would be like telling the nba vets like shaq and reggie miller to stay out of the way you want the veterans in anything you do in life to share important knowledge to the new generation that is the problem with some black people we create a silly divide while white people always pay respect to the people that have paved the way
@what77und
@what77und 3 ай бұрын
@markparham the WNBA vets did not pave the way, though. They are lucky to still have a league with a 10 million dollar a year, negative balance. The new rookies owe them nothing. The new rookies grew up watching the NBA, and they idolized Jordan. You should be ashamed by comparing a successful business model and a very profitable league to a failing one! That's like saying a Saturn Automobile Executive can be of use working in a Mercedes Benz Executive office. We all know Mercedes would never!!! Please stop. This is not a black or white issue liberal. MJ and Magic, Serena Williams and Tiger, are welcome to speak. They're not a charity case. They ate what they brought in. The WNBA brought in NOTHING... EVER! I'm talking business and you're talking basketball. One SHOULD NOT exist without the other. Business is first and the lifeline.

@@what77und caitlin clark said that maya moore who played in the wnba was her idol the video is right on youtube remember the nba was founded on june 6, 1946 and the wnba was founded on april 24 1996 the wnba will get better over time (what are you talking about)

@markparham It has failed consistently for 27 years. What are you talking about? The new hype was not a natural progress! It has not been trending up over time. The new rookie class, based off of their COLLEGE HYPE, brought the new fans. The WNBA had nothing to do with it. Without the rookies, nobody would care about this league. The numbers and history don't lie! Please stop.
