The song that Mick Jagger did here was the first one broadcast on the US premiere of this show on CBS. The way that version worked is that they had American singer and actress Nia Peeples host from Los Angeles, while Gary Davies obviously did the parts from London. The show was broadcast on Friday nights at 11:30pm, but it only lasted about a year. It didn't help that they had to directly compete in that time slot with Johnny Carson, who was still pretty much the king of late night at the time.

We weren't saturated with media back then (4 channels) so there were so many more shared viewing experiences across the population. There was such value in that, collective memories. Some might say we really didn't need 100s of channels pumping 100% guaranteed crap 24/7. 4 channel were enough.
