Fantastic year, legend of songs, i still live where i grew up and always remember the scout hut where they had a disco every week,i walk past it everyday but sadly no longer a childhood disco just another block of bloody boring money racket flats,but still i walk past with happy memories but always ask why has there always got to be change,kids of today would of loved it.

Oh yeah- forgot to say about OMD- brilliant to hear synth more in the track than singing...and lots of dry ice (I made dry ice with a Japanese dry ice maker in my lab in 1990s.)Shame about the ra-ra skirts tho!

The best combination kid Jensen and John peel double act and later peel with Janice long. Out of curiosity where do these recordings come from a😆combination of BBC TV and uk gold showings in 2009 some of them editions from the early seventies were shown on German TV einsfestival. I prefer forest follow up feel the need in me and OMD genetic entering under rated.long.

This episode is shown tonight over on BBC Four and the current situation that Mike Smith didn't sign the licence extension for his episodes to be shown before he died, all the other DJs had signed it and he refused eventually. However Eins Festival showed all the pre-1976 episodes with the exception of four other episodes that weren't mute.

I'm a fan of OMD but, it has to be said, Dazzle Ships was pretty bad. And I'm including this song in it. I still have the album in [almost] unplayed condition. I couldn't bear to take it out of the sleeve now.
