In previous episodes the sharks have torn people to shreds for keeping their full time job while also still working full time hours on their personal business, saying “they’re not 100% committed”. They basically say “why should we commit/invest if you haven’t”, and yet when people DO quit their jobs (eg the first pitch/chiller systems) to focus solely on their brand, they are criticised and humiliated for doing so.

Regarding the Catch and Release pitch. Renewing a patent is no big deal, there's a process for that. Besides which the best way to sell it is licensing deals to chains like Western Marine so all that really matters is securing those in the 3 year window. The prototype is sorted for you already. This is a no brainer.

The anchor could be done way easier and cheaper. Have a latch at the primary anchor point with a rope going to it. When you want to disconnect it from the primary anchor point, pull the rope, latch releases and the chain is on the secondary anchor point.
