Have you tried the Nova mini? I picke one up and absolutely love it. My buddy has the full size Nova, so ive got to handle both of them.

Looks as good as the Nova, but smaller than I would like it to be for me personally. I had that issue with the compadre too but it could be better ergonomically. I will check it out at a future blade show and see.

Did you just claim that s35vn has greater edge retention than Magnacut? You might find that this opinion doesn't have universal subscription.

I did, specifically when coming out of China. Knife Steel Nerds actually rated S35VN and Magnacut at 60-61 HRC both at 5 for edge retention. It’s a good read if you have dived into it before.
