Mountain Man Nate, so make sure you watch next weeks video. We actually found better cinnamon rolls than the Gifford House. Definitely the best in the country. Thank you for being apart of our journey. Stan and Rhonda

Looks like fun! Love Morro Bay. We kayak a lot in the ocean around Catalina island because we have a boat that we take over all the time. We have regular ocean kayaks though that we stow on the bow and then drop into the ocean after we moor the big boat. We have had seals come up under us and try to tip us over, especially when we are fishing out of the kayaks. We also kayak often in Avila. There is a kayak rental business right there, if you don’t want to use your inflatable. You can kayak over to a secluded beach and hike up to a light house. Very fun. Lots of seal, fish, birds and sometimes sharks.

Hi friends! Wow! Sounds like you have had some fun kayaking adventures and some close calls with nature 😅 🦦 We have been to Catalina several times in years past, but never thought to kayak. We always ended up getting the golf cart and touring around the island. But kayaking in the ocean (well, the bay for us) is a whole new world and we loved it! To be out there and see those animals in their environment was thrilling 🫶 Thanks so much for sharing your adventures with us!! We love hearing how others choose to be active and find adventure 👍 We look forward to seeing you in Quartzsite! ~ Rhonda and Stan

I motocycle Camped at De Oro. I wonder did you see the two local Bobcats at the campground? they tend to welcome people and watch to see if you will leave any food around.

Was it as cold as it looked? I’m with you Rhonda, great fun to look at but from a bit of a distance! But it would have been fun to watch one jump in the canoe with you! 😉 Fun times!

Carol, The water definitely was, but fortunately the air temperature wasn’t so bad. It was so fun seeing the otters and their little faces. 🦦 Now the big guys on the other hand got me a little freaked out. They seemed to squawk quite a bit more the closer we were to them. Like I said, they made it known we weren’t welcome there, lol! We did see a KZbin video where an otter climbed on top of a guy’s kayak. Quite a funny site! Glad they didn’t try it with us 🙌 Thanks for joining us on this fun adventure!

Thanks that looks like a great park. A lot of activity going on and a little nervous with the big guys jumping around and baring. We have hard sides and do a lot of fishing 🎣 from them. We did come up on a moose and deer up in Michigan. Thanks From Wisconsin

Hello Robert, we found out today that that last year a 42 year old man was on a boogie board on the other side of Morro Rock 🪨 and was killed by a 16 foot white shark. We have been told they frequent the area because all the seals 🦭. The inflatable makes it easy for us to store maybe not the best device in the ocean. I’ve surf 🏄♂️ most of my life and was never afraid of sharks. However, these areas are a little scary with whales almost swallowing those two woman on a kayak in Avila Beach. It gets the heart pumping! That’s what it’s all about right? What’s the biggest fish you ever caught on a kayak? Stan and Rhonda

@@robertdoyen5434 that is really cool. Rhonda and I have never scuba dive but we did get a chance to snorkel all alone with dolphins in the open ocean in Hawaii. Also snorkeled under a reef and saw a barracuda longer than me. I quickly realized we are on the bottom of the food chain in the ocean. Blessings
