One trick is at the start when you take off, have someone grab ammo and get in the bomber seat repeatedly during the downtime of the flight - this makes them drop the ammo pack beneath the nose turret, which saves a lot of running time when they need ammo later since it's on the floor beside them. Also, the interior view camera can be dragged around holding down right click. This hurts me more than it helps as it takes crap out of focus when I only wanted to deselect things or zoom out, ugh.

baron just a quick tip, you should probably have an ammo feed on the ail gun as it saves the tail gunner the long walk to get ammo. The gun might not be as powerful but believe me it's worth it

Baron, remember that you don't need to use the actual fire extinguisher to put out engine fires, but at the engineer's seat next to "boost" and "lean" you can manually extinguish engine fires

all 4 guns have to be busy MOST time not only 2 like you do. Bomber gets down only secs before bombing/photo mission once done instantly he goes back. Engineer uses skill to reduce fuel usage till moment u encounter 1st opponent planes then he goes to bottom turret. If Engines catch fire map guy sits in engineers seat to extinguish fire then back to mapping. MOST important always keep your ammo belts to top like xxx / 3 meaning u have ammo xxx and 3 full ammo belts in that turret. so re-supply ammo when ever u finished fighting enemy planes, so u wont get caught in middle of dog fight without ammo!

just like real life you spend less fuel in medium/high altitude and less flak can hit you, but you begin running into clouds and visibility issues., so on long missions try to spend more time higher up, so you take less damage from flak and you get better fuel efficiency. Once you get to your target get to low altitude though

I don't know if you know this Baron, but for some optional photo recon buildings you can drop bombs on them right after taking a photo and the game will give you XP for taking the picture and destroying it. Doesn't work on all but works on a lot of them. You should try it.

At start before/while taking off make your gunners to take ammo then they got full mag and 3 belts instead of full mag and 2 belts. For most missions thats more than enough allowing you to buy top dmg turrets instead of auto belts! About unit skills think about do you really need 2 skills as earned exp gets divided by 2 - 0.5x to each skill so by putting extra skill for example on gunner you are reducing gunners shooting skill badly, therefore aim gets better slower CD longer etc.

Maybe in beginner missions 3 belts will do but in higher grade missions as you progress with the Campane the fighter get harder to kill (like jets) and there are more of them and your tail gun will need the best armor you have so he will be slow and you can not afford to have him off the gun to get ammo and even with Mk 7 armor and .50 cal Mk 3 x4 and Mk 4 x4 .50 Cals it is hard because of the jets and the endless number of fighters coming at you

Hope youre having fun Baron, its a cool game. I am only a couple missions ahead of you, but a couple of tips : First, one that I learnt the hard way: right click all the time when you're finished moving or ordering someone; it deselcts them (I lost a plane to learn that, emergency dived, misclicked and sent my pilot to gun...) Next time you do the hydra mission, save the focus for the V2, and keep your bomb dude in the gun until youre ready to bomb. Also, something i didnt do but should, dont tag the enemy planes til you've taken out the V2, so they all focus only on the V2. I think you had a second first aid kit but you didnt realise. But yeah add another one in the customization, in the centre spot. Also, it really helps if you armour the fuselage, I armour the tail and main rear quite heavily as well as the wings, but use lightweight on the nose. Btw better fuel tanks dont mean more fuel, but more well armoured. Lean saves a lot of fuel, even with bomb doors open and wheels down, whichever you do last is what counts (open bomb doors then lean). I think you figured out eventually how to use the custom heading, but yeah you have to use the tagging thing on it to use it. Re flak: Can help to maintain med altitude, then emergency dive to get better visual on bomb drop, the boost up to medium altitude to avoid flak. Glad you worked out how to use the fire extinguishers on the engines, too! That was painful for a while. Happy flying!

To extinguish fire on engines in heavy fights use map guy put him in engineers place/seat to take out burning engine while your engineer repairs or helps on bottom turret. For bombing missions test is visibility good enough to fly in mid height as flack guns do nothing to you if you are at medium height yet u still can bomb them.

When you go through 11 aircrafts per campaign but you’re still better than baron. Also in my experience radio ops and mappers are invincible. One time my mapper was in 6 crashes and the only reason he was lost is because we couldn’t find him when we crashed at sea. He saw 5 new crews before he died
