A long term test like this is incredibly helpful, but this isn’t a fair test because each side will be exposed to different climactic conditions! For example, the weather tends to come from the north where I live and thus the paint on that side of my shed always takes a battering compared to the other sides…

I'm just building a couple of gates using untreated PAR pine. I want the finish to be a solid grey, not showing knots etc. What product(s) would you recommend?
