Top Speed Key for the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport

During my trip to the Nurburgring 24 hour with Bugatti, I was joined by former Le Mans winner, Andy Wallace, to get an explanation of the Top Speed Key for the Bugatti Veyron and how the various modes affect the aerodynamics of the car including ride heigh and the wing actions.
The car in question is the Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Super Sport WRE, the very car that set the production speed record and still retained by Bugatti.

+Milan How exactly is a Bugatti a piece of art? It takes 16 cylinders and 4 turbos to make a "high end car" that still looks like a stretched beetle. S1000RR walks this piece of trash with $30k.... The Bugatti engine alone costs probably at least 200x that. Bugatti is old and real car engineering companies like Koenigsegg will decimate it.

The aerodynamic is partly designed by Airbus I guess. At 15 degrees air pressure= 1.225kg/3, during 431kph, the frontal drag is 667.6 kg. That's as much frontal drag as a plane (without counting the wing) doing 800 km/h at 36,000 ft. What a car. Any car that can do 400+ on land are awesome.

First thing first is air pressure will also depend on temperature, as well as humidity it's also going to depend on the altitude you're at so unless youre caculating your circumstance at stp then wtf. Air pressure in most cases is also a lot larger than 1.2kg......and how you got a cross sectional of 3 makes no sense either.

You can control the wing manually if you really wanted to. The wing can go all the way into the car and hide into the body. So if your showing it off while parked at a car show ect. and someone had there hand in the way of it closing, it would not stop and keep on trying to close. They most likely did not included that safety feature due to it adding more "unnecessary" weight. Thats my thought on it don't know if I'm 100% right

None of the stock SuperSports will go 431km/h....Like most it wasn't a stock car that did that. That is why the record was taken away. ALL, production SS are limited to only (415km/h) 258mph.

The only things I don't like about the Veyron are the warning beeps for door ajar or putting the car into handling mode or that you left the key in the ignition and the keyfob. Sounds are borrowed from run of the mill Volkswagens and that kinda ruins the luxury mood of the Bugatti. Same with the keyfob, that goes throughout the whole VW group - VW, Audi, Bentley, Skoda, Lamborghini and Bugatti. They engineered new schrader valve springs and tpm sensors and build every one of the 10 rads by hand at the cost of $100k, but couldn't make a nice special key for the car. If you wrap a piece of shit in leather, it's still a piece of shit, y'know...
