A lovely collection of summer dresses, let's hope we get the weather so that you can wear them all, I especially love the vintage table cloth one and agree that you need something less fitted when it's hot & humid. I've made the project runway simplicity 1418 in a scuba fabric, which is really comfortable to wear but not the off the shoulder version.

The red and pink do look very pretty together. I have been admiring a flower bed at my credit union which includes deep, dark red fokiage plants and flowers in two shades of punk and one fuschoa. Like your outfit, it is just fabulous.

There's not a bad one in the bunch! I love the collar one with vintage pink fabric. The summer dress that I have enjoyed the most is a drafted shirt dress that I made by taking a Suzy Furrer craftsy class online. Since the fit is perfect, it works really well for me. My only downfall is picking out fabric, sometimes it's a bust. Love your dresses! make more!!

An entire wardrobe of selfmade summer dresses is probably my life goal :D You have so many wonderful ones in your collection, I couldn't even pick a favourite :) I have 3 or 4 metres of a purple cotton fabric with green polka dots that I bought in 2012 and have been harbouring for the moment when I can sew well enough to attempt a dress (yes, I have been trying learning to sew for a long time, but this time I'm sticking with it! :D ). Who knows, maybe this year is the year!

Am a little more determined now to finish what I started....as you aptly said, it's the investment of time...that winter coat (it's winter in NZ) that I parked up due to the fact that I have not ever sewn a collar before and it all looked like origami to me, deserves to be completed.....it's not a mountain, it's just a collar😲 ... lovely collection of dresses BTW.

I have been binge watching your videos for the last couple days and I get more and more intrigued to go and buy ALL the fabric and patterns out there and go crazy. I have another question: can you tell me some nice (an maybe not too expensive) fanbric shops in London? I'm coming to London in September and I'd like to go fabric shopping. I'd ask you to come along but I guess that'd be a little intrusive ;)

Hi! Ahh London is an amazing place to buy fabric. Without a doubt the best place to shop for affordable fabrics is the Goldhawk Road in Shepherds Bush. It is a whole road of shops selling a huge range of different fabrics. You can get there easily on the tube too. Make sure you set aside a whole morning or afternoon if you want to visit all the shops as there are LOADS!

I think you could wear the striped off the shoulder dress with a regular bra if you safety-pinned the straps in place on the inside of the "shoulder" part of the dress. It's a lovely dress, it's a shame you've not been able to wear it more!

Dear Sewn, you sew and fit VERY well but you aren't choosing the right colours to go with your gorgeous red hair! So, please continue to make your own clothes, that is enviable, but choose the right colours and designs for how you look in a full-length mirror, standing far enough back from the mirror in order to see the whole outfit!
