the blouse with the very long tie is meant to be wrapped around the waist twice first. to have the look like a cummerband

That makes so much sense! I still found it to be very long even wrapping it around. I think my fabric also was a bit too heavy so it wasn't super flattering:/

Thank you Hellen for your videos ❤ I have the same pattern as M6953, bought as M8060 and I'm stuck 😢 I'm not an experienced sewer and I don't know how to connect the sides to the front bodice, the sides are curved and the front is very slightly curved. Can you please advise me, I'm completely lost 🙏🏽

Making McCalls 7900 for my daughter and definitely had to adjust the neckline, its a bit large but lovely pattern she loves it, looks so feminine

Yeah i do, they have some interesting vintage reproduction patterns and the instructions are typically ok

@@LifeByHellen I have a bunch of original patterns from as far back as 50' and 60' of Simplicity, McCalls, Buttermilk, and a smattering of other brands from my aunts estate. If you have any suggestions for how to determine reasonable pricing or what media to post them on, I would be very grateful.
