As a refugee from Southern California, I have had nothing but great experiences with North Idaho folks . . . after I changed my license plates and people got to know me. If your views align with theirs, you'll be just fine. I love my North Idaho life and am glad I retired here.

Why do you want everyone around you to be more conservative than you? I long for my childhood, when unless you were close friends you had no CLUE what someone's political persuasion was. It was considered bad manners to discuss such things in polite company. But I guess politeness has left this country... Donald Trump being a perfect example of that.
@allendks45 Жыл бұрын
@@brockreynolds870 politeness went out the window starting after Reagan. Got worse under Clinton, a lot worse in 2008 and has gone off the rails starting 2020. Idaho and especially North Idaho doesn't need or want you lot here trying to turn our great state into where you live.

@brockreynolds870 Жыл бұрын
Absolutely. The frost free growing season is only 100 days long... where I live in Central Missouri, it's 180 days. Anything colder than that is a hard no for me. I have to live where you get RAINFALL, and have green grass and shade trees, and be in zone 6 or 7, which is the sweet spot...weather wise, a little bit of everything, but not too much of anything. Also, too much snow!! Here we get average 16 inches a year. And I'm ok with that.

Let a "Real" Idahoan tell you, not some Californian selling Idaho with no regard to quality of life. Realtors are all about selling, not quality of life. Do yourself a favor if you are thinking of moving to Idaho, North or South. Spend some time during rush hours, you will be shocked at how traffic-clogged all the major cities are. Traffic backed up for miles and miles, overpriced housing, overhyped, overcrowded camping, trash-filled hot springs, hunters in every draw, fishermen in every hole, ect.

Yep, number 1and 2 are the main reason I've ruled Idaho out, and I'm as conservative as they come, but thanks to you Trent I now understand that Idaho doesn't even get what conservative means. It means freedom, live and let live, keep your nose out of other people's choice on how they chose to live and think, the ideals America was founded on. Idaho people actually seem as hellbent in dictating how others should live and think as liberals are. And as you've explained in other videos they're even worse than that, they're actually aholes, keying expensive cars because they're jealous, and refusing to stop and help people stranded on the side of the road. Just not interested in living around people like that. Really appreciate the heads up you provided.

In 2000 people were bummed they didn’t buy in the 90’s. 2008 had people start to doubt their investment, but zoom out and it’s never a bad time to invest in beautiful areas. It’s never too late and we’re here when you decide it’s time.

@@LivingLifeNorthIdaho Yeah in the Seattle area people think the same thing about the price increase over the decades. They think they can't afford to buy now but it's only going to get worse if they don't. I tell them just get your first place even if it's a condo or a mobile. I remind them to remember it's only your FIRST house not your last. Just like your first car or job you will progress from there. Stop paying rent and start building equity. If they think they can't afford something now how do they think they will in 10 or 20 years? Prices may level off or even go down a bit but you certainly can't bank on that. I look forward to talking with you when it's time for me. I have a lot of work to do here before I can sell this house and be positioned to move.
