Love that you went to Boston! I used to live on the corner of Beacon & Dartmouth streets in the Back Bay (this is Gio) back in 1984 & 1985. I love Boston and all the great history, architecture and food. Bravo!

Very nice! I'm a native of the Boston region and I learned some things and places. For one, I didn't realize there were steps you could climb up in the Bunker Hill monument 😅😅

Cambridge is not part of Boston. Two different cities, two different counties, two different mayors
@PostcardCathy3 жыл бұрын
@coastal-tan I’ve met people who grew up in Danvers that don’t know Harvard Square is in Cambridge and then insist that Cambridge is a neighborhood in Boston.
@PostcardCathy3 жыл бұрын
@coastal-tan no one that lives that close to Cambridge and Boston should not know they are two different cities. I will give her that she might not know they are two different counties but a local should know they are not the same. Especially when you are doing reservations for a paratransit service and was running into problems because she repeatedly attempted to put my reservation in as I was going to Boston and not Cambridge and the software kept rejecting it as an incorrect input. I’m not expecting her to be a walking encyclopedia of how long it takes to get from point a to point b but know Peabody and Salem aren’t the same city or that Salem is north of Boston and Braintree is south. BTW, around the same time I was making a reservation to go to Burger King and when asked if the address I gave was a business or residence, I cut to the chase and said it was BK (the next question usually is what type of business is it so the driver knows to look for an office building, restaurant, movie theater, etc). We went through this at least three times. At one point I even said it was a competitor of McDonald’s. The woman sincerely claimed to have never heard of either. She may not eat in either place but how are you out and about in the world and never see them or know people that eat there. How do you never hear the commercials or never get the ubiquitous coupons in the mail? How do you work as a reservations agent for paratransit and I was the first to mention it? A few weeks later I was talking to a supervisor about how to solve another problem and mentioned this as an aside and gave her the woman’s name. She apologized and said unfortunately for that job, the applicant pool is not the best and they have to choose from them. BTW, I told the agent just to write down it was BK and the driver would know. And another thing, I’ve had more than one Ride driver unable to tell which is the middle building in a cup de sac with three buildings on it. Bottom line is the stupidity of people who supposedly have high school diplomas in order to get their jobs.

How it’s the transportation in boston ? Is it easy to move around buses train etc. Thank you
@TurnItUpWorld3 жыл бұрын
Byron, the public transportation in Boston is ok. The T (subway) is a good option for the Boston metro area. We haven't tried the buses very much because we tend to use the T. Thanks for watching!

This should be called things not to do in Boston. They hit every tourist trap in the city. Also Cambridge is a seperate city not a part of Boston. Overpriced Quincy Market please. Mike's Pastry please before Maria decided to retire her namesake bakery was much better and cheaper. Enjoy the long lines at Mike's.
