When my parents went on their honeymoon, they stayed in Boston for some of it. That was when they first started going to Bovas. I grew up in/continue to live in Massachusetts. The majority of times we have ever gone into Boston in my 27 years of existence, we have stopped at Bovas. Bovas is my favorite bakery OF ALL TIME! ❤️❤️❤️ This video makes me wish that there was a “love” button. There’s a “like” button. Facebook has a love button. It’s videos like this one that make me wish KZbin had a love button too. ❤️❤️❤️

I agree. I was there two weeks ago. Bova Bakery is the best! I had to go back for a second time. It was the best I've ever had. I had the florentine cannoli.

It's not just the cannolis that are great! The last dessert item I had there was a raspberry turnover - ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE! The best I've ever had. Bova's is simply THE BEST! It's a must-eat destination when visiting Boston! 1

Oh! Also,allow me to sing the praises of another Bovas masterpiece. Now,I don’t recall the specific name of this loaf,but they make literally the perfect round loaf of bread. Literally. The crust is perfect. And inside? Indescribably perfect! No need for butter or anything else,just eat the whole thing in one sitting. Then,go for a 5 mile walk,of course😅

The real cannoli are with ricotta dolce (sweet) and mini chocolate balls, I'm sicilian and I can say they make it in the right way. The other types are not traditional but they look good.

Hands down the best thing we ate on our trip was the Florentine Cannoli. Bovas was the only place we ate at multiple times.

I tried the cannoli from Carlo's Bakery and they're highly overrated. The shells are too thick, the filling isn't anything special that I haven't tried in other pastry shops. They're lacking marsala wine in the dough and they're not even cooked in lard, like a traditional cannolo should be.

I'd argue that Bova's actually makes the second best cannoli in Boston. I've tried all the big names (and even some smaller names) and I personally find Modern to be the best. Bova's ricotta filling is the perfect sweetness, but I find that they fall short on their shell. I think Modern has that perfect sweetness to their filling while also having the best shell. The flavor in Modern's shell is more prevalent and compliments the whole cannoli better than Bova's, and the shells at Modern's taste fresher. I found Bova's shells to lack that perfect texture and fell a bit more towards the softer side. And now for Mike's, there cannoli shell is way to thick, the filling is too sweet, and they aren't made to order so the shell can get a little soggy. This is all coming from an Italian who's tried dozens of cannoli from many places
