"Yellowstone", "1883", "Siccario", this movie, "Wind River": ALL Taylor Sheridan works (writing or directing and writing). Dude has become a force in American entertainment with sharp projects and compelling characters.

kzbin.info/www/bejne/jqLElayJf5t_mdU At 59:46 In this interview he talks about his writing process and it's wild. He says he drives until inspiration hits him and he says he drove from LA to Montana until he came up with an idea for this in his head and then wrote the whole thing in 2 weeks, which is absurd for screenwriting.

He even acts in 1883 as a hardened, bearded cowboy -- and he is totally believable in that role.

Ben Foster plays the older brother. He is a hell of a talent and is good in everything he's ever been in. You guys liked this movie, you should try out 3:10 to Yuma. A true western and really good. Ben Foster is amazing it that as well. Good overall cast. Russel Crowe and Christian Bale are the two main guys in it. Very good movie. Edit: 3 seconds after I typed my response, you just said something about 3:10 to Yuma... so you have apparently seen it. :)

The writing/dialogue is great (specially Ben Foster) but the plot being terribly predictable sapped a good chunk of the enjoyment, for me.
