Yes, bike pass. It's required to ride on the resort. That checkpoint is next to a road where a bunch of trails start.

takeing the bike to the top have a separate cost? btw, how much for a day with all inclusive?

Right now it's $59 on the weekend for unlimited access to all lifts. They also have a "Discovery Ticket" which is pretty cool for beginners and cross-country riders. It's $29 for trail access plus 1 village shuttle ride and unlimited access to Chair 11 (the beginner bike park). You can make a pretty big day out of this.

I’ve seen several videos, and to me Velocity does deserve a pro line grading. To me it looks more like in between black and double black. My buddy at my local bike shop is shop thinks if the trail has a feature you are forced to ride but the rest is easier, mammoth auto boast the rating up. Just curious on your opinion.

Yeah, it's also about guiding their guests so that a new visitor won't get an unpleasant surprise by riding above his skill level. They also have data on injury rate, so they know where a lot of tourists are eating shit and can bump up the rating accordingly to better warn new riders.

You can download videos on your phone as part of the 3 month KZbin red trail. The videos are locked to the app so you can’t put them on your phone but you can watch them in the library when your phone has no wifi.
